I'm an HVAC tradie with a ceiling of 120k in my specialization, would go back to school as well but the job market is cooked beyond belief and the stock/derivative markets are in an obvious bubble. Hold gold and crypto ATM but only extremely low six fig savings in my late 20s. Feels fucking impossible to dig your way up to even a million, how the fuck are you supposed to even live a normal middle class life unless you are making a quarter Milly a year minimum? What would you do in my shoes to start from scratch?

Claim your business on Google.Then call up businesses and government buildings that have weekly HVAC services and find out how much they're paying. Ask to be placed on their vendor lists. Bid a couple commercial accounts for less than the going rate. Do great work. Hire other people to help you and bid more work. In 3-5 years you should be a millionaire, but if not you can either keep trying or go back to waging knowing you tried and simply aren't smart enough to do well.
