I have like 250k in assets, but only 150k of that is liquid. Thinking about moving to Texas or some miserable state where I can just buy a house for 200k and not even deal with a mortgage. Pros are that I'll never be a debt slave, never put up with bullshit at work for fear of losing everything, and never feel trapped. Will probably save me about 500-800k over the course of my life I recon.I do realize this basically would reset my income, though. Is this a good idea? Or is putting all my eggs in one basket like this unwise.
