Why are people still burning money on shitcoin scams and hopium when the odds on prediction sites are way better? The days of a 1000x on bitcoin are dead. But I can hit an easy 2,3,5,10x on basic dumb shit like ukraine/iran war deadlines, interest rates, election odds etc on polymarket.

I've only seen black people use kalshi

Yeah I don't personally use kalshi but they're mostly known for dumb shit like sports betting. At the end of the day if you pick one niche you're confident in, like finance or politics the market is typically underpriced. Betting on shit never happens wins 99% of the time and is an easy 2x. I don't understand why people gamble on a shitcoin they don't understand instead of trading hype on polymarket, if you get into a market at 2% for example you've doubled your money once it hits 4%. That 2 point bump can happen in a single day.

But I do use prediction markets. I am up 2000% since January

based, what markets are you in?

This board is fucking dead so I'll bump my own thread with my current strategy, feel free to poke holes in it.

>2028 presidential election market
>current odds; Vance @ 25.4%, Ossoff @ 11.5%, AOC @ 10.7%, Rubio @ 10.3%
>Trump is in his last term
>Without getting too deep into politics, overall public sentiment is negative
>This trend aligns with a switch from republicans to democrats as people will vote for the other team in hopes of improving things
>AKA: 2028 president will be a democrat
>All dems in the field are at 10% odds or lower, meaning you get a 10x+ payout at worst, 25x+ at best
>Spread money out across the top 4 dems
>Wait until midterms in november, democrat candidates are already speculated to win the house and possibly senate, pubilicity will spike and more people will start to bet democrat. I'd say this is a safe 2x on any of the top 4 right now
>Once debates happen the general public will quickly begin to highlight the favored candidates; sell off bottom 2 candidates for top 2
>hold until 2028
>20-30x profit for being patient

My personal favorite pick to actually win the election is Ossoff, but I've even put money on people I know won't win like Kamala, waiting for them to blow all of their donor money in November and get hyped up in the markets.

people will absolutely not vote democrat.
>>
>>62643523
I'm curious why you'd think that, given the trend of a republican, in their final term, with a net positive approval rating / bad economy / war etc has always been replaced by a democrat? The most recent example being Bush vs Obama in 2008; bad economy, war, final term, an unknown democrat sweeped because the republicans had too much bad sentiment and people automatically assumed the grass is greener on the other side.
>>
>>62643532
*net negative approval rating, Trump is like -25 right now
>>
>>62643535
it’s very likely the Democrat nominee is not yet listed on the odds
>>

Doubtful, they have everyone from Michelle Obama to the rock. Even if you don't want to ride it out from today until 2028, there's plenty to be made off picking someone you think is going to run in the first place. If you were super confident that the rock would announce, even as a meme, his odds would go from 1% as much as 5%, 5x overnight.
>>
>>62643508
trump is going to make it so he's president forever and you're going to lose all the money you have in this market
>>
>>62643668
if trump does that we'll have a civil war and much bigger problems than gambling to worry about.

good luck anon, american civil war v2.0 is inevitable
if there's a market on that you should hedge your bets

I doubt he will live long enough to see the end of his term but even if he does and has a third term, there won’t be a civil war. Corruption is at ATHs and everyone basically figured out by now that jews run this country. Yet everyone is still being a good goy and going with the flow. When I start seeing people going after government officials, then I will consider it a possibility. Until then, nothing will happen
