I made almost 90k last year and I was just a security supervisor who barely did anything.That said I can’t even tolerate holding over for 4 hours anymore. I have considered just doing ubereats or something after work because I like driving around at night listening to music/audiobooks, and that's basically all it is.

But that was the early 00'. Unironically both me and my brother felt we were getting ahead in life with something as status-y as a international brand but that's part of what they sell. Status. Like Starbucks does. Anyway not everyone is wired to be able to work through hours high noise levels, a competitive work environment and random customers. The baboon in charge on 1/3rd of my shifts was enough reason for me to quit since he pried on my friends and tried to make me hook him up with girls I knew. Pay was comparable to any other job so I got a job on a family owned gas station instead where I could work alone baking bread and pastry, make hotdogs and sell snacks, alcohol, softslop, cigs, and gas. Few gas stations besides highway ones got that much turnover to keep a kiosk now. Was way way better than fast food chains and status didn't matter much to me but feeling able bodied mattered and that kinda slowly came on its own and not at all in the McD environment. Seeing how the work environments slowly change for the worse makes it kinda hard to reminiscence. But McD hasn't changed much..If I had to, I'd rather find anything else, basically.Still feel like the younger generation got it way rougher society wise and of course with the ghettofication rolling out just having a job will be more and more a thing of status or ridicule depending on how poor or degenerate you are. I guess making it as a good wageslave truly only lies in crypto, but if you want to get ahead with a corpo attitude coming from a lower class I really do think you'll probably have to get 'promoted' like my brother did. He's truly a upper middle class now but you can't ignore luck as a factor there.
