I have $20K in liquid money's. When will I start to feel safe? $100K? $1M?

For me it was 80k before I felt comfortable putting my money in investments.
80k affords me at least a year to not work if I lose my job.

We're in the early stages of a third world war. A second Great Depression is on the horizon and probably will be kicking off before 2030. A wave of revolutions is not out of the question. No amount of money is going to make anybody feel safe.

No no no. The more money you have, the more danger you will feel.

I have around 35k but I still live with my parents. That money (and the money I' still gonna save) is all going into buying a house so it literally means nothing to me. I don't even feel good about it. If I had 20k with a paid house and car I'd be in Heaven.

>If I had 20k with a paid house and car I'd be in Heaven.
But everything under Heaven is in utter chaos; the situation is not excellent

>$20k
That's a decent emergency fund. Now you need to start working on your "fuck-you" fund (1 year living expenses). Once you get that socked away you can start working on building enough wealth to walk away from work forever ($3m-$5m in current dollars).

In a bull market the only safe amount of fiat to hold is 0

Precisely never anon. Quite literally never. 8k per month is considered middle class in USA now, no I’m not kidding google it. 101k per year for a single adult is the baseline now. So you are 5x off currently

That’s basically where I am and it feels like I fucked up paying off the house instead of investing
