I went to walmart about a month ago and when I got to my car I realized I didn't scan something. It was a $4 pack of hersheys. Now I'm scared of going back. Are they going to arrest me?

I'm one of those people (white) who makes sure I scan everything when using the self-checkout. If I get to my car and notice that I forgot to scan something on the bottom rack of my cart, I'll go back and pay for it.A few years ago I ordered 10 cases of Red Bull online from Walmart and had them ship it to my local store for pickup. A few days later I got the notification they arrived and to go pick them up. I get there, and my Red Bull isn't there. Store says it's the company's problem. I call the company. Company says it's the store's problem. No refunds since the cases supposedly got delivered. I had ordered them because my local store had been out for a couple of months each time I went shopping. Suddenly, they were stocked again that day.Over my next four grocery trips I got my goddamn 10 cases of Red Bull that I had already paid for, thanks to self-checkout. No one ever said shit to me about it. I didn't try to hide it. Once Walmart and I were fair and square again, I went back to making sure to pay for everything in my cart. Just an anecdote on the upsides of self-checkout for honest consumers. White people don't steal, but we also don't let others steal from us.

Whatever I wanted I just slapped a condensed milk 50c label on it and scanned that at self checkout. I dunno if that’s feasible now tho
