I am desperate to see cheap prices so i can buy good stuff and forget about it for 10 years.
>>
ok im gonna give u some bad news bud

here goes

basically

the dollar is losing value faster than the markets are going up

everyone happy markets are up 10-15% in the last few years YoY, yah?

ok, well the problem is the dollars we use have fallen way lower than that value increase on markets

what does this mean

it means the markets are actually down, not up

so u might think we're only up

but we are already down

you just dont see it because the market is up relative to itself

u dont see this in crypto because crypto doesn't; get buy-backs from state bodies to keep its relative price (against itself) going up while the dollar on the side is losing value, that is done manually by traders like you or i, where as stocks get pushed up by automatic buys from the fed

but again

the fed buying pressure on the markets isnt higher than the feds dollar losing value

so the markets in terms of purchasing power are infact already in a bear market and going down

this is why a market crash wont occur like you think it will and you'll be wishing you bought, but in the next 10 years, the market might go up 100%, but the dollar purchasing power will have become worse than that market gain, so it would still technically be in the red against the dollar

this is what people dont seem to understand and why people get left behind in the markets

ty for coming to my ted talk

>forget about it
>10 years
Why wait 10 years instead of putting the effort in to keep finding assets that multiply your previous gains?

what about other shit like the swiss franc and the euro. Everyday i woke up i expect so see in the news 'the euro is over, try better luck next time'

same with the filthy dollar

Euro's inflation is equal to the dollar. The Swiss franc's inflation is much lower, and is among currencies very safe (though not necessarily safe during a global market crash).
>According to Reuters, the franc rose 14% against the US dollar in 2025, and continued to strengthen in early 2026, reaching 11‑year highs versus the euro and dollar. These gains reflect its safe-haven status: during crises people buy CHF, driving it higher.
However, an argument could be made that assets like stocks are safer in a severe downturn, even losing value, if there's poor central bank management going on or (worst case scenario) civil unrest in a country.

I wart dirt cheap shit and global panic, worse than covid, worse than the orange man trade war
>>
The problem is next time that happens, outside of extraordinary circumstances like covid, it's going to stay tanked for 10+ years
