>Got him to sign the deed over for $5
>Moved him to a senior care facility (he died a few days later)
>Threw all his stuff away
>Moved into the house
Daughter claimed to be "close," and facetimed him "once a week," but didn't find out about this till months later.
She should have been facetiming him every day, if for other reason than to keep him grounded and socialized, and move him closer to her (or move closer to him).
The dad had Parkinson's and a TBI (ironically, same as my dad).
Sadly, this is a fate that awaits many of us even if we "make it."

This isn't to absolve the pic related "caregiver" who exploited and robbed him.
Only to point out that you really can't leave people like this alone, or trust caregivers too much.
I'm honestly terrified sometimes to think about what would happen to my parents if something happened to me.
>>

This is why you put your shit in a trust before you go crazy
>>
Hot!

in France such a contract would be considered illegal due to the small amount and the fach that the owner was not mentally sane when he signed it

the US really are still like in the times of the far west

>the US really are still like in the times of the far west
Yes. That wasn't very long ago
>>
Uhh so the daughter never thought of getting power of attorney of her fathers assets since he wasnt all there in the head and she knew that? That would have avoided this entire thing because he wouldn't be able to do anything without the daughter process.
>>
>>62651338
The loud, obese "person of color" is ultimately at fault, and I suspect may even have killed him, perhaps with the aid of someone at the "care" home.
But I have to wonder if she would have been so brazen and emboldened had the daughter been keeping adequate tabs on her father.
I can imagine what her dad was probably like towards the end, given how my dad is, and I can't see how she wasn't scared to leave him alone and so far away like that.

maybe all the asian families (honestly all non white families) have a point when they psyop their own kids and guilt trip them into being a retirement plan. probably better to buy a 10 room house to have multiple generations live under a roof till death
>>
>>62651231
Daughter's fault for not having power of attorney.

>>62651239
I'd rather walk into the sea than be put into one of these negro staffed care facilities.
>>
>>62651231
>kikes made the rules
>>
>>62651392
There's less than 5 black people in my county
>>
>>62651379
You need to have money too.
I'm not saying I wouldn't take care of my parents if they were broke, but I can't imagine how much harder this situation would be if I didn't know how bills would get paid.
Just make sure you have enough money so at least one, maybe two, kids can take care of you 20+ hours a day without having to worry about money.
>>62651392
Even the good facilities, from what I've seen, are still pretty bad, and they're usually under-staffed, so the good CNAs get completely burnt out.
But it also depends on the patient; maybe some spitfire who still has their wits about them will do fine, but someone like my dad absolutely can't go to a place like that because he gets confused and delirious (common in the elderly) anytime he's hospitalized.
>>
>>62651379

dumbass. the majority of black and hispanic kids grow up without a father. they have no 'families'.

the nonwhite retirement plan is called social security
>>
>>62651231
Stuff like this is why I haven't moved out of my parents'. I'm only just barely keeping the house from vanishing, however. My parents are boomers, so they do exactly the opposite of what I tell them and never got over the idea that younger generations know nothing. They can't stop getting scammed, their favorite being fake fixes. There has got to be some way to relinquish their control of their own money.
>>
>>62651231
It's his house and he can sell it to whoever he wants for however much he wants.
>>
>>62651673
Oy vey - he should only be allowed to sell it to Blackrock for $1

It's considered illegal in the US as well. This "caregiver" had an accomplice in the state's title department.
>>
>>62651237
>you really can't leave people like this alone
You can't do shit to them over the phone. My aunt got scammed and tried to send all her money to some literal who. Me calling her the day before that accomplished nothing. In fact she was already in contact with the scammers at that point but there was no way for me to tell, she sounded fine, happy even
You have to actually live there to prevent this. Oh and the only reason she didn't get scammed is people in the bank stopped her, and then police was called
>>
Looks like they have to prove that he was coerced into signing. That'll be difficult considering that he's dead, but it might be possible to retrace the people involved and see if she had patternistic behavior of scamming the elderly. They're probably already looking into her prior workplaces and financials.

Things like this probably needs a verdict of guilty beyond reasonable doubt to put her in jail.
>>
>>62651231
Based nurse desu, boomer got what she fucking deserved
>>
>>62651231
Daughter deserved it.
>>
>>62651338
She was probably a chronic procrastinator and didn't think a black nurse was gonna scam her elderly white father for at least another 5 or 6 years.
>>
>>62651895
why is your aunt so stupid? does she not have immediate family looking out for her?
>>
>smacks lips
>WYPIPO DONT SEASON DEY WILLS

Imagine what's going to happen once this massive generation of childless elderly hits the nursing home scene
>>
>>62651379
In a debt backed fiat system kids should absolutely be the retirement system. Perpetual growth is the only thing that keeps inflation in check. Everyone who doesn’t have three kids should be executed at 65.
>>
>>62651416
its less non-white and more med/slav/asian style, niggers are niggers, western whites are too individualistic so here we are.
>>
W nurse, daughter should have taken care of him if she actually cared
>>
>>62651231
Shit, there's a pretty ok movie with a similar premise, I Care a Lot.

Fuck are you talking about.

Stop printing money, let technology improve productivity = no inflation.
>>
>>62651231
I've been googling the past several minutes about this
Apparently it's way easier to steal a deed to a home in the US than in other countries. Even getting 'title insurance' doesn't guarantee that it won't happen
Between this and all the squatting nightmare stories I've heard about, how the fuck is there not more of an uproar over this by Americans?
What the fuck is the point of buying a home in the US if it's so easy for some random to legally steal it from vulnerable people like this? I'm baffled right now
>>
>>62652485
In the UK you can put a restriction on your deed so that the land registry won't process any transactions on it without sign-off from a solicitor.
>>
>>62652255
Yeah, that's a bit odd.
His name was on the deed. not hers, but it was "her" house.
>>
>>62651933
>why is your aunt so stupid
You too will watch your mind start going to waste with age. It hits some harder than others.
>>
>>62651237
Luckily, my parents don't trust niggers and they both plan on dying in their homes without any medical care.
>>

this is the world that boomers voted for, for decades, to be robbed and murdered by the female negro government worker cabal

>>62651963
those people are unironically going to just fucking die
No nephew or niece or cousin or w/e want to deal with your senile old ass
>>
>>62651963
There will be robot/ai caregivers in the next 20 years. Why do people not see this. Still thinking life is like the 20th century wtf.
>>
>>62653732
Most children don't want to take care of their parents either in modern society. They stick them in nursing homes and often don't visit them. Because the modern culture we live in values independence and tiny shut off nuclear families, any sense of caring for elderly or disabled is out the window because they are all seen as burdens. Doesn't help that people have to move far away to find work, and the whole psyop that you're a loser if you aren't out of the house at 18.
>>
>>62653802
? Most "children" are 50+ by the time their parents need care, they have kids of their own and don't want to deal with a senile retard who never planned ahead for the day they couldn't live alone/use stairs/etc
>>
>>62651327
In France you can’t wipe your ass without the government getting involved
