I would even have such things be discussed year over year in the house, meanwhile I would make sure to never actually bother with budgeting and keep spending to stimulate the economy, inflate asset prices and most importantly keep inflation higher than the nominal interest rate. For this I also strongly support my friends at the federal reserve and their efforts to achieve their given goals of a mild 2% inflation rate with high as possible employment. Meanwhile they, being my friends, support my not quite so openly stated aim of a higher inflation rate while keeping my interest rates lower (let us call it yield curve control).

Increase taxes overall, and specifically on corporate entities. Decrease budget spending on the military, social services, healthcare, and unnecessary state apparatuses. Increase spending on national initiatives for profitable resource creation, and directly fund the creation of a supply chain from extraction to creation.
