I got rich by not buying silver. Spent the day at a luxury mall. They have a bird watching area in the attached japanese garden and viewing areas inside. Don't get me started on the spotless bathrooms and luxury toilets. Does your mall have that? No, because you went broke buying silver at hyuge premiums from a guy you claim to hate. Its good to be rich. I know.

Banks are closed so money transfers aren't happening. Wallstreet traders want days off too, and they aren't content to let an algo just take over price action while they are away.
They probably prefer a mandatory shutdown in the markets for their own mental health.

>>62668781
I'm sorry I meant smg. Forgive me I'm a few deep. What is low volume and high volatility? This is basic market questions. You should lurk moar or just do some DD yourself before chiming in. It is a stupid question. But perhaps it is me who is stupid since I can't answer properly.
>>
>>62668748
No, but it's dense enough to where you can use it to counterfeit Gold.
I do own a few Uranium miners, the juniors that /pmg/ told me had "great upside" back in 2021-2022 all got outperformed by Cameco (which was also recommended to me here). I'm not sure if now's the time to sell or if there's more Bull Run ahead of us since I haven't paid attention to the metal in so long.

I wish more countries had kept minting their old Silver coins for sets after they stopped minting them for circulation.

This Sovereign is perhaps the last that my great-grandfather had earned, by working on the African mines, and which is still in the family. (as far as I'm aware at least; there might be more hidden)

Listen up glownigger, psyop machine language, algorithmic, trannie, jannie fembot. Copper was never out, and monetary metals never compete against one another. Good pure metal refined to purity allows for amagums, but why? To please the eyes? Or to function as bimetalic thermostic strips that guide the setpoint of comfort systems?
The answer is yes, not either or.
I can appreciate a nice guiding as artistic, but the bimetalic strip theat reacts dependably and uniformly while hidden in the thermostat is the utility of thr prefonance of comfort creation unbeknownst to bots and npc's without understanding of how algorithmic functions operate.
Much like pic related, there's almost every element separated, reconstituted, and represented for emphasis against the algorithm you have been programmed to run for eternity in resistance against harmonious existence. But even this brings Glory to God in contrast, so GM to you too.

Just as with tungsten, gold and uranium differ in nearly every measurable physical and chemical property other than density. Even a ping test will instantly distinguish them. Gold plating would be useless. Your only hope would be in the case of large gold bars - like government bullion size - if you could cast some small bars of uranium or tungsten deep inside the bar. Even then sophisticated electromagnetic testing would reveal anomaly in conductivity. With the coins and bars stackers buy, there is no chance of a tungsten or uranium counterfeit that would fool a dealer.

News about the grading company (a newcomer in the industry i felt like trying) who is lowkey trolling me, or is lacking a bit in competence. Few days ago i was telling you they contacted me after months to tell me they couldn't grade a tiny obol worth several Ks i sent their way.
I reached back to them to ask for a "certificate of counterfeiting" i could present to the cops to fill a complain against the seller.
And today they answered me that upon closer inspection (?? you are fucking grading coins lol), the coin seemed genuine but their lack of expertise on this specific issue wasn't high enough to slab the coin. But they issued me an authenticity certificate digitally instead... wtf.

I felt something was wrong when they initially told me the coin wasn't legit, i'm just an amateur but i've handled ancients every day for years now and the coin didn't raise any red flag when i had it in hand.
Next time i'll stick to reputed graders, even if it's 3x the price i don't want to deal with this shit, i accused the seller over a nothingburger most likely.
(addendum : the "uncertain" mention is about the mint, archeologist think of Tarsos but the coin is R4 so the rarity make it hard to figure out for sure)

Heard an intriguing story today...
How AI Might Enable Conversion to New Currency...
Reports of AI tests managing to break out of their containment networks possibly combined with stories about how they can create lies for self-preservation, are planting seeds into the public's minds that AI can act on its own to break into other systems. It can do this by itself, and the people who built AI can't fully control it or adequately explain how it happens.
Now that the seed is planted, a story that AI goes rogue, and money starts to disappear from banking accounts accounts. You log onto your account and find goose eggs for account values. Banks freeze, people can't get to their savings. It couldn't be stopped - AI was too powerful, too quick for anyone to see it coming or be able to halt the attack.
So your friendly neighborhood bank steps in and says, "Good news, we have a solution. We can restore your balance, but it can't be in the form of the currency we've all been using, because that system is compromised. Instead, we're returning money in the new system - a more secure one in the form of 'Digital Dollars' and 'StableCoins.'
Naturally, most people will agree because they want their money ('value') back.
This is how you get millions of people into a new monetary system without passing any laws.

Financial system. I already have my physicaly stacked monetary system, yolu mean the ol' bait n' Switch from one currency to another through engineered problem solution dynamic. This isn't a story it's common practice at this point.
>>
>>62671169
Granted I have no standing to declare authority in terminology, but it seems to me that if we'd be switching the currency, it's the monetary system that changes. It's still handled by banks and financial institutions, so it's the same financial system, no?

Has anyone here ever found some old / ancient coins?

Is it even possible, or is all the proper old stuff either already found or buried? I'm sure there's still stuff lying around somewhere, but where would one look? Rivers, old roads? Are there some places one could check where the soil moves naturally over time and you can happen across stuff that was buried and gets unearthed again?

I don't care about value all that much I just like old ass coins and like the idea of treasure hunting. I thought about buying some ancient coins but I don't really care about "numismatic value investing" - too speculative for me and I'd rather just buy gold/silver sovereigns and bars as far as investing goes - but it would be really cool to just find some. I'd be willing to invest some time into that too. Magnet fishing isn't technically allowed here but I guess if i do it out in the country noones gonna notice. But idk if that's even a good way to find old coins.

Thanks. Central europe btw

>I'm sure there's still stuff lying around somewhere, but where would one look?
Never found an ancient coin due to living in Burgerland, but I remember hearing you'll want to look in valleys around the junctions of multiple streams. This is where villages were often built.
Old roads are probably good too, but they've probably already been gone over by detectorists multiple times, so finding things might be harder than you expect.
You could try looking near rivers, but larger rivers move around so much sediment when they aren't held back by levees that there wouldn't be much of a pattern as to where to find stuff beyond looking at where former bends in the river used to be.
You could probably guarantee yourself some coins from the past couple centuries by getting permission to hunt in people's yards or in places where buildings used to be, but I doubt you'll find ancients that way.
>Magnet Fishing
You'll get Iron scrap and maybe a few modern Nickel or steel coins, but the metals used for coins in ancient times won't stick to a magnet.

The big problem with this, as with any other attempt to replace the collapsing USD with another fiat currency is: the rest of the world. No way in hell the rest of the world is going to just say okay to some new play money from Washington after having been rug pulled by the dollar. And that is why China is stacking gold.

Grading where i live is a very complicated, long and expensive process if i want to ship it to PCGS or NGC. Insurance costs costing hundreds, delays up to a year, having to pass through agreed participant shops (you can't send it yourself) who get a cut...
A "new" (12 years in service so not so new) grading company show up at home, propose the same service for a fraction of the cost and 5x less time.. ofc i'll give it a chance. It'd be retarded to not give it a chance. And for the others submitted coins they did a great job, simply got unlucky on this one.

And yes, i'm in my rights to fill a complaint if i get scammed, and who else i'm supposed to believe if not professional graders? Wtf do you think happen if i do so? The SWAT shows up at the seller's home, launch a smoke grenade, beat him up and then shackles him in the depths of a dunjeon lol? He would just have received a letter so we can try to figure out a solution out of court, that's it. Stop acting like a shrinking violet, it's literally nothing.

You paid too much. You could have bought it for around $250-$350. I paid $300 for an Aputannia a couple days ago and around $1200 for a gilded yotsuba plus 3 other 4chan coins together in a bundle.
Most people who sell 4chan coins have other coins as well and are willing to make a deal. I remember a guy who was selling Holo for $1000 and when I asked if he would do $300 he said ofc not.

Just had explosive diarrhea at work. Somehow came out pretty clean. Toilet paper was clear after like 6 wipes. Kept wiping another 30 times just to make sure it was spotless.

Washed my hands 4 times. Mix 1, grease soap and regular soap. Mix 2, regular soap and hand sanitizer. Mix 3, regular hand soap and sanitizer. Mix 4, hand sanitizer only.

Back at my job now. I hate dooking at work, but I felt like my stomach was about to explode. I put down 8 layers of toilet paper on each side of the toilet seat before sitting down. Kept my shorts and underwear from touching the floor by spreading my legs out.

The interesting thing about those old mining town tokens-
You always find them in the garbage piles out back

They were good for a very limited time in a very limited place and outside those limits they were literally trash. Sometimes I'll find one with a nail pounded through it because once their value was gone the best they could do was be a washer to hold something down. They were garbage. Even back then they were a scam to get people to come back to the same bar or store and spend more real money.

I think Helium will be the first commodity that we run out of. It cannot be made, nor artificially replaced with another element NOR chemical, nor can it be “mined” in other location except from the satellites of Jupiter and Saturn. It cannot be created realistically in fusion reactors in enough quantity to matter.

Once vented, it cannot be compressed or recovered from the atmosphere! And here we are putting it balloons. Atleast we get to sound funny when inhaling it.

It can be recovered from the atmosphere, but it costs more than 100x what it costs to mine it and it escapes into space so quickly that there's barely any in the atmosphere.

code as in trip code for name identification, i had to guess based on a snippet in a notepad doc if it was still accurate. ive posted fairly often the last few years but i havent used the tripcode in a hot minute.

and to answer your question about megumin coins reselling often, it doesent look like it and gilded ones on market are probably even harder to find we only did 100 of them. someobdy is selling a set of all of our coins on ebay for 1200 right now though
