So who cares if the Fed does a one-off rate hike?Do you think Google or Nvidia or Anthropic or Micron etc cares? This market is built on these names and it’s too bloody big to fail at this point.
>>62670451The markets are not too big too fail, they're just too big to get bailed out boss.
I am gonna laugh my fucking ass off if that faggot Warsh doesnt raise rates.
They won’t hike because it’s oil induced. If the conflict ended abruptly then it would not only be unnecessary but detrimentalThey do nothing 100% I don’t even need to see the cpi
>>62670517This is the actual argument imo. Hiking into a supply shock just tanks growth without touching the actual price driver. Fed's own playbook (see 2022 framework) treats energy-driven CPI spikes as "look-through" unless it starts feeding into wage expectations/core services.
My point? Even if Warsh hikes 25-50bps it doesn't matter at this point. The capex cycle is self-funding through debt issuance and vendor financing (Nvidia/OpenAI circular deals, hyperscaler capex guidance already locked in for next 2-3 years). A rate hike doesn't unwind that overnight and you'd need actual demand destruction or a credit event to break the loop.
