Who are the people that keep raging over AI?

They keep jumping between 'AI is shit and will never be good for anything' to 'ban it right now'

AI is the best thing we have for real technological advancement in the near future and most people hate it.

I had to look it up
Post-COVID Backlog & Reopening: International travel restrictions in 2020 and early 2021 created huge pent-up demand. Once borders fully reopened in late 2021 and 2022, tens of thousands of deferred international students and workers arrived simultaneously.
The Post-Brexit Immigration System: Free movement from the EU ended on January 1, 2021. To replace departing European workers, the UK government introduced a points-based immigration system that made it significantly easier for employers to sponsor skilled workers from non-EU nations (particularly India, Nigeria, and the Philippines) on an equal footing.
Health and Social Care Worker Visas: Faced with severe labor shortages across the NHS and elder care following Brexit and the pandemic, the UK government created the Health and Care Worker visa in early 2022. It had lower salary thresholds and allowed workers to bring family dependents, resulting in a dramatic influx of care workers and their families.
International Students and Dependents: British universities expanded international student recruitment to make up for domestic fee freezes and lost EU funding. The reintroduction of the Graduate Route (a 2-year post-study work visa) made studying in the UK far more attractive, and many postgraduate students brought dependents.
Humanitarian Schemes: The 2022–2023 period saw major humanitarian arrivals under specific UK visa schemes that didn't exist before: hundreds of thousands of people arrived from Ukraine (following the Russian invasion) and Hong Kong (via the British National Overseas route).

It's one of those Anduril's pieces of shit that works 20% of the time, but the Pentagon has to use it because Palmer Lucky has connections with Thiel and the Trump admin, so their products get fast-tracked with no quality controls whatsoever.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reach the conclusion that it's worthless. Anduril is the only company that makes Boeing look competent by comparison. They tried to sell their shit in europe and in the demonstration to the german army every single product failed, every single one.

https://byteiota.com/andurils-30-5b-weapons-fail-wsj-exposes-testing-crisis/
>The failures aren’t isolated incidents – they’re a pattern. In May 2025, 30 drone boats operated by Anduril’s Lattice software shut down during a Navy exercise off California. Sailors didn’t mince words in their report: “continuous operational security [and] safety violations” posing “extreme risk” to military personnel, with warnings of potential “loss of life.” Rear Admiral Kevin Smith, who oversaw the Navy’s unmanned vessel programs, was fired shortly after citing “loss of confidence.”
>Ukrainian forces tell a similar story. The country’s Security Service (SBU) stopped using Anduril’s Altius drones in 2024 after they proved vulnerable to Russian electronic warfare systems, crashed repeatedly, and failed to hit targets. They haven’t been fielded since. Meanwhile, a mechanical issue damaged the engine of Anduril’s Fury unmanned fighter jet during summer testing, and an August test of the company’s Anvil counter-drone system sparked a 22-acre wildfire in Oregon that required three fire trucks to extinguish.

Of course I stumbled across this stock at $10 but read they were drowning in debt and always missed their goals, but they had heavy hitters on their board of directors so that was a sign. I stopped following it, then they changed their tech to use vanadium, I think, lowering op temps, and Trumps build back better bill provided a 30 percent tax break because the boom boxes are expensive then it really took off. A few good things about BE boxes are the abundant cheap gas, very cheap in certain locations, easier permitting, faster delivery, and even if data centers scale back there is still a need for behind the meter power for business/industry and the power grid is strained and GEV has a yuuuge backlog for their turbines.

>Is this the beginning of growing out of the US government debt?
No, they just print more. There is no growing out of anything, spending is increasing and sooner or later inflation is going to hit hard. Its already higher than any government numbers and has been for decades.
>>
>>62675921
Nah over here it's always at least somewhat disguised. Welfare for families with children, welfare for the retired, raises for government workers. Never a direct 5k to everyone's account. That's Africa tier, if Africa had any money to give out that is.

This would be the perfect storm,
US government could achieve its stated goals
1. "grow" out of the debt
2. lower the dollar exchange rate so the world stops using it as a reserve currency
Also, all holders of US treasuries (i.e. Japan and China) will get insta-raped because the value of their holdings (in their home currencies) will suddenly drop with the vaue of the dollar.

Down. People on /biz/ are, for some retarded reason, in denial about the Fed raising rates next week but it's 100% going to happen when PPI/CPI numbers show inflation increasing more than expected. You'll frequently hear the morons in this thread say something to the effect of "Trump won't let Warsh raise rates until after the midterms", which overlooks two key points:
1. Warsh is only one of 12 board voters, most of whom couldn't possibly give less of a fuck what Trump wants or thinks
2. No matter how much of a bitch Warsh might be for Trump, he is, I promise you, more of a bitch for the banks. Finance capital runs this country, not Donald Trump.

Inflation is not that bad though babe and transitory high energy prices are the only thing keeping it elevated and rates cant change that. Its the vig we pay to european finance to keep them from crashing our economy periodically and they are more than satisfied

margins get beaten up during inflation for a lot of companies and debt servicing is harder which also beats margins down and limits growth which is financed by...you guessed it, debt...

>>
>>62676259
I agree that raising rates won't make oil refineries not explode but it will cool markets and create demand destruction. No one in the administration wants that though so it wouldn't be surprising if they just lie and ignore everything like they have all year. Say some shit about a super serious task force of Indian chicks from Microsoft.

I don't think the oil prices are transitory. It will take years for damage to refineries to be repaired around the world.
>>
>>62676259
>Inflation is not that bad though babe
US bond investors evidently disagree.
>transitory high energy prices are the only thing keeping it elevated
There's also tariffs, housing prices, AI data center costs, etc. In any case, the Fed has a mandate to do what they can to combat high inflation when it occurs, and, in this case, all they can do is hike rates. So that's what they'll do.
>>
>>62676252
Have you considered that this administration and everyone appointed bt it openly doesn’t care about the goyim dealing in the real world?
>>
>>62676272
>All they can do is hike rates

Wrong. The pro gamer move for the federal reserve would be to raise the requirements for banks to hold cash. Banks are required to hold 0% cash since March 2020. Simply making the kike bankers deleverage would massively reduce inflation with minimal impact on the normal American

They won't do this though because it's actually smart/disproportionately impacts kikes rather than fucking over goys

Nobody seems to think the Fed isn't immune to the same logic that applies to them.

You buy, the stock goes down. You sell, the stock skyrocket. Works every time right?

Fed cuts 25bps?, inflation balloons uncontrollably for months, money becomes utterly worthless in less than 12 months. Hike just 25bps? Inflation drops to 0 instantly, deflationary spiral begins within 3 months and the entire US population is unemployed 9 months later.

Same logic applies no? Why wouldn't it?

Oil is irrelevant. There will be excess soon. Bottleneck is refinery capacity. Retards goofed so fucking bigly letting Ukraine take out all of Russias shit and the houthis blowing up the saudis shit was the real wildcard play

There will be a major divergence between the price of oil and the price of refined oil. There already is but it will continue. We will enter a timeline where they pump less just because they can't refine it fast enough and oil will drop even though gas gets more expensive

I'm against the war with Iran, but boots on the ground in Iran in a full scale invasion is going to give markets a lot of certainty. It's this middling, non-committal policy of Trump that is leaving the Strait in limbo, and trying to topple the regime from maximum distance that is driving oil prices. If he committed one way or the other we'd probably rally.

I deal in the real world. We need this gloves on approach simply because
-we're trying to cut the costs of this war, so we need to be careful with who we strike and with what
-the war is EXTREMELY unpopular in the west with even soldiers and sailors dubbing this Epstein's war
-Trump is extremely sensitive to the stock market to satisfy his geriatric, or at least primarily geriatric, support base who want the war to affect their own investments as little as possible
-you ultimately cant win a land war in Iran, there are several exposes on this fact
-anything beyond the strikes we're currently doing run the risk of Congressional interference
-such strikes are in proportion to what Iran is capable of/has hit so far, basically if they actually hit a USN ship, which Iran wont do because they know it will result in a declaration of war, Israel won't be able to get free gibs

The right approach is to not start retarded wars with vague, unachievable objectives. The "gloves on" approach is the side effect of poor planning and mental retardation in leadership, not a plan in and of itself. All I'm saying is, this shit, middling position is bad for markets. Bobos should prefer the status quo and not a decision to invade or cut losses.
