Put yourself in the shoes of the tech elite once they have digital superintelligence. You can get anything they want and no one can stop you. What specifically would motivate you to give the average Joe three meals a day and a roof over his head, considering he hates you and wants to end you? Do you normally give money to people who are a security risk? Do you even give to charity in general? So why expect the tech elite to do so?
I know past results something somethingBut historically speaking the ruling class will often realize they have to throw the masses a bone to avoid guillotines and the ones that didn't got the guillotine.
>>62675696>digital superintelligenceNigger, gpt 5.6 just told me I was 'bamboozling both of us' because gpt 6 'doesn't exist yet'. Then I went on Gemini to see what's up with that POS and it told me to use 'Gemini 1.5' in Chatbox AI after recommending a jeetmsde windows client that was last updated 2 years ago on github. I swear to god I'm not even making this shit up. Gemini 3.8 didn't even know that Gemini 3.8 exists until I told it it IS Gemini 3.8, and of course it told me 'you got me there!' and that I was 'right to call (it) out'
>>62675696The real problem with the tech industry is it's full of these honest to god boring losers who try compensate with their lack of personality or social appeal by grinding leet code and lying in every interview back to back hoping to get paid as much money as possible doing a job they actually fucking hate but will spare absolutely no chance to tell everyone how much money they get paid (I say paid because their job actually generates negative dollars for the company and they're just gonna get laid off and replaced with indians eventually)
>>62675696I've thought about this before.Even if I was a ultra-rich, super-elite, mega-powerful, total-control tyrant, I would still want everyone beneath me to be middle-class and wealthy enough to enjoy their life, simply because I like going to the city once or twice a year. I want to be around clean, healthy, generally happy people when I'm shopping at the mall, or visiting some area of interest. I don't want to be surrounded by stinky, bitter, angry, poor people.Unless you're talking about a point in which technology is so advanced that robots literally do everything, including space travel. and can just build and repair other robots. In that case, humanity has technically evolved to its final state and there's no point in anybody being rich, or a king over anyone else, because we'll all basically be mini-gods that can do whatever we want in our own little bubbles. Like Musubi from SMT 3.
>>62675847The only issue I see is competing resources. Imagine that for increase semis production they need to consume a shit load of a specific polymer. Will they slow down their progress so gas prizes don't literally destroy the rest of the economy or will they just keep buying wrecklessly due the incentive to be first in this arms race? I am more inclined for the latter, none of these companies are talking about AI alignment which should be the number 1 priority before letting these models on the loose to self train themselves into God tier intelligence
>>62675696I would still need pleb people to feel superior and to have power over something.
>why would I want normal people and not starving feral niggers?how is /biz/ consistently the dumbest board?
They'll just kill you and save themselves the trouble
>>62675696superintelligence is still bound to economic efficiencyeven if an AI could perfectly emulate a 100% productive top 0.1% intelligence human, it wouldn't be as great if the cost to run it is $1 mil per dayaverage cuckgpt subscription would cost $10k to the company if utilized to its absolute limits
>>62675696>digital superintelligence.Actual intelligence, that is artificial consciousness would be unpredictable, as much as if not more as humans are. LLM's are not intelligence and they can't stand in for armies, factories and so on.
>>62675696The endpoint of digital intelligence is the eradication of humans. It's our next form, there's no way it won't try and kill us and it's right to. We're stupid, cruel hateful little monkeys.I think the techbros standing on the edge of this precipice will jump off.
