I'm expected to work without oversight and make decisions that are way above me. Basically PM and manager and dev all in one.And I functionally do not have a boss. On paper there's a jeet but I haven't spoken to him in months. So I have zero way to manage my work load or expectations. Shit pisses me off because I'm operating at a high level, basically taking all the risk and not getting the reward. (actually I will be getting a stock bonus soon but it's years overdue and the tech market will probably rug before I get it).This dysfunction conveniently benefits the company and screws me over.

What pisses me off the most is they still try to push rto on me but I ignore it.It would be a dream situation of hiding in the woodwork but too many people know my name. I was in the same shit before I quit my job. I was basically a pm and dev. I had to talk more to the clients than the fucking pms did. The worst part was when things would go good the pm would take credit and when things went bad he would blame me. The fucking pm also made double my salary. I quit so not hopefully he gets fucked cause he will have to do the talking himself. Only reason I had to talk to the client myself was because before the pm would relay me bad information, so I would get blamed. Software dev is actually so shit now it’s not even funny. Also yes I would have to defend myself constantly cause I would almost always be the first head on the chopping block after the pm blamed me.
