But if it happened over 10-15 years, I think most of the economy would've recognized the trend and adjusted. We've been out of 0% rates for a while now and shot up to 4-5% very quickly and basically crabbed around that area. The rest of the world had to crawl up slowly over the pace of several years to adjust to that reality but now that we're out of that adjustment period for them we can continue to move up.This is of course not saying that this is some wise plan to grow the economy, its a scenario that plays out over many years rather than a crisis that plays out over a few months that forces even more extreme measures to be used.
