Every day, bonds pay better and every day the risk of a stock market correction over macros and oil looms bigger. This imbalance is feeding back into itself -- a feedback loop par excellence -- and the end result is a bear market.
Have you pulled out your money yet, /smig/?

The Volcker shock occurred between the Vietnam war and Gulf war, with about a decade on either side of a major war the US was directly involved in. Financial markets have been coping that Trump is going to TACO but the Israelis finally dragged the US into this and are using all the leverage they have over Trump to keep him there. If the Treasury needs to finance war debt (such as propping up Japan's economy) the Fed will be more accommodative to a wartime economy. I think this has been a major blind spot in all financial analysis lately and it assumes the US will choose the consumer economy over the sole-superpower role (or can maintain the sole-superpower status while prioritizing the consumer economy).
>>
>>62679583
They need to hike now BECAUSE the economy isn't completely in the shitter yet.
More importantly, even if they didn't hike in Sept, if you expect the same kind of July euphoria that followed you are sorely mistaken. Priors have shifted now and you can't see it in the FED probability surveys -- if they don't hike now, everyone assumes it is just delayed rather than potentially null and void like we did July and before.

Inflation isn't good for the consumer. High borrowing rates won't be good for the consumer. The Fed funds rate will be held lower than the market rate to monetize war debt, sacrificing the consumer through higher prices, pricing out the consumer from the productive capacity of the economy.

The interest is charged up front, it's just what you pay back. You're not letting them get any buildup on your cards, and it's typically 3-5%. I'd rather pay that and know i'm going to pay it off anyways and just invest that way instead of using my own money. I'm using someone else's money to fund my fucking retirement, what do i care that it's more expensive money? It's someone else's. Not mine.

Perception is 99% of this market and it is entirely vibes. do the people feel secure? good market

>>62679681

A man consumed by an insatiable fixation on gold and silver spent every waking hour hoarding coins and polishing family heirlooms, convinced that precious metals were the only true markers of worth. His sterile, metallic world shattered one afternoon when a dancing turkey sandwich materialized on his kitchen counter, executing a flawless tap routine while oozing thick, glistening dollops of extra mayonnaise. Instead of reacting with horror, the man was instantly mesmerized by the rhythmic precision of the poultry-and-bread performer, finding a strange, hypnotic value in its savory spectacle that rivaled the gleam of any bullion. He immediately grabbed his camera, capturing the surreal, mayo-splattering choreography and uploading the footage to the internet, driven by a sudden, erratic instinct that this bizarre entity was his real ticket to fortune.

The video transformed into an overnight global sensation, capturing the imagination of millions who couldn’t get enough of the rhythmic, condimental bird. Seizing the momentum, the man launched a massive empire of viral merchandise, mobile games, and sponsored live streams featuring his edible, dancing companion, drawing in unprecedented waves of digital revenue. Wealth poured into his bank account faster than he could have ever accumulated through trading metals, officially elevating him into the ranks of the multimillionaires. Surrounded by his newfound, astronomical fortune, he realized his old obsession had been permanently replaced; he no longer hoarded cold, silent bars of silver, but instead dedicated his life to managing the chaotic, highly lucrative career of a tap-dancing lunch item...

20% RSP

I don't think America has a lot to worry about regarding its deficit

I can explain why. And it'll make sense when you hear it.

Basically all developed countries have high deficits. America can watch how other countries deal with it, and avoid the same mistakes. Particularly Japan which is at like 250% debt to GDP. America could at least get up to 250% debt. There's a good 40 years left until that point at the rate the debt is growing.

the assholes that run America should set up a sovereign wealth fund. They should have did that shit 70 years ago. Imagine if America set up a sovereign wealth fund in the 1950s how rich it would be. It would be ridiculous. They could fund the all the US liabilities off of dividend yield after 80 years of the fund growing and being contributed to.

This is why none of these people should be in charge. It's like watching a retard inherit, then squander the money. That's usually how inheritance goes. If you didn't make it,you lose it deservedly.

Invest in frozen pizzas

they're a modern marvel

Imagine that
millions of frozen pizzas being made.

They're made form ingredients, cooked, then frozen, then packaged, and shipped, and distributed to stores. By the tens of millions. Constantly. They also have to remain frozen the entire time during shipping, and at the store. And I only vaguely said how they're produced, and greatly simplified it. There's hundreds of steps in between my vagueness.

Think about that

>>
>>62680162
It's not a joking matter

Before all the inflation in 2021, imagine going into a store and buying a whole frozen pizza that had to constantly be kept in cold storage, an was fully prepared already for $5. Think about all the resources that went into that.

$5, for enough food to feed you all day..

You could eat for a whole day on that, and all the work that went into getting that frozen pizza from the primary ingredients to the store you bought it from.

It's amazing how affordable it is.

Why nobody tell me options are ez money

I bought a 490 put of MSFT expiring tmw and it quickly went from 1.8 to over 3.0+ per contract

Unfortunately a small position, but still, if someone supposedly understands price action and knows when to buy some put or call contracts, why shouldn't this be their main strategy? The upside is huge in so relative a time compared to stonk holding. I can see how it can get addictive and borderline gambling, but still worth the risk for the huge compounding effect a streak of wins can have.

Give me some option trading tips I'm still a newbie

leverage cuts both ways, that contract could have easily gone to 0.5 if you were wrong. People tend to either oversize and be wrong, or get too greedy and don't take profits until it's too late.

Some tips:

Only trade options with high liquidity
For swing trades, buy 45 DTE or more and exit or roll when there's 30 days left
Be aware of commissions and exchange fees if you are doing multi-leg trades. I pay 10 cents roundtrip per contract on Moomoo, Robinhood is 8 cents, Fidelity charges 65 cents iirc

I have always been skeptical of LLM's but if it succeeds i will have vastly under-estimated LLM's. I read some guy saying this :
One can earn a lot by semis in long time horizon, but its also becoming dangerous, because Final semi consumers sentiment is very important for them now.
There are 3 AI corpos, A B C. A made an uber AI model.

There are 3 probabilities.
1.A, B, and C all keeps making new AIs.
2.C gives up.
3.All corpos start slowing AI development, as they have reached the intelligence threshold and start making their models more efficient.

If 2 or 3 happens, semi stonks slow down in short term according to him, and it can be brutal as main reason of semis rising was because they had good Forward P/E.
And entire thing is decided by each hyperscalers situation, or whim.

Looks like the Houthis might have actually scored a direct hit on the E/W pipeline. Confidence flag is tagged at maximum, and FRP printing above 70 MW blows way past conventional fire(~30 MW).

FRP >70 MW scream high-pressure crude rupture and blowout conflagration. Brightness is literally maxing out and clipping the saturation cap on the VIIRS I4 band.

Cross-referencing the delta between VIIRS and MODIS orbital passes, FRP anomaly printed 60+ MW for an 8 hour duration minimum. A garden-variety valve leak or routine gas venting simply cannot sustain that burn duration or heat signature.

Faded the controlled burn or flare stack hypothesis too. Pump stations sit dozens of clicks apart on the ROW, but these heat anomalies are tightly clustered along a sub-10km stretch.

No normal maintenance operation or controlled burn is conducted on such a massive scale simultaneously across multiple points spaced just kilometers apart along the pipeline route.

WTLS is a good ETF

Let me eplain how it works

It's 1.8x
90% + 90%

90% is SP500 long
the other 90% is split between 45% long individual stocks, selected by some system that filters by quality and other factors. the other 45% is short, selecting the individual names with the inverse signals of the long

Get it?

Since WTLS has existed, it's performed similar to QQQ but has been a much smoother ride. Like, there was no summer dump in this ETF. It's just been gradually girnding up.

It hasn't existed a year yet so QQQ has an advantage in this chart with an early start. WTLS is the orange line.

So the issues. It's new. It hasn't been tested in a real bear market. It seems to hold up well though. The biggest risk is longs and shorts failing at the same time.

Should I invest €9.99 in Resident Evil Village? I need something to do in my vacation.
>>
>>62680490
Invest in Stonks-9800
>>
>>62680487
9/11 is more important
>>
>>62680490
Why not play an old cool game that's free to play? Resident Evil Village was such a let down. They have you kill mommy milkers in the beginning which is just stupid and don't give you an option to team up with the guy that controls metal or whatever the fuck his power is.
>>
>>62680490
Why did they have to mess up Resident Evil 3 Remake? It was my favorite OG

Didn't play the remake, but I've basically only heard bad from people that loved the OG one.
>>
>>62680487
Because they're suppressing it. Nothing new. Remember about that Jordan base "8 missiles intercepted, we let 2 slip through as they were flying towards some field".
Guess what, sat imagery yesterday revealed 8 F15 and an A10 being hit.
Sat imagery also reveals columns of smoke from the fucking pipeline, FIRMS shows it's hit in 8 different places.
The market and media manipulation is reaching levels thought to be theoritically impossible. And this shit only end in biblical disasters.
>>
>>62680497
RE3 remake was really mediocre felt like a massive rush job, such a shame desu

Smg bears are trying to suppress the bull market, but price and volume signals confirm it, my portfolio is way up and my soxl trade is in profit. Yesterday they were insisting it was over but all the evidence points to us being so back
>>
>>62680520
hi, bear expert here! this is not funny, bears only do this when they’re in extreme distress.
>>
>>62680487
You're going to miss things if you only look at mainstream media. They're slow because they have to verify their information.

you should just do the match
assuming it's 4%, on an average income you're still winding up a multi millionaire after 40 years
the rest you should use for more accessible investments so you aren't forced to wait until "retirement"

Demand destruction is a thing. The macro trade was to go bearish. And the 104.5 ish hard rejection was the reverse signal. It’s Friday an don’t want to go into the weekend on gap. Unfortunately Xi needs me to build lightbulbs for Pan Chino-America or I would be reading the tape all day. Believe me or not but I was the nigga holding the 103 support before flipping

What's the appeal of vtrannies? The fan art? It's just dudes doing 'let's plays', something that has been done since like 2006, but with a girl avatar. Look! I uploaded a pic of a woman. It's literally me. It's hard to trace exactly when voice changer apps were first available on Windows, but it appears to be 1998. Clownfish Voice Changer was allegedly popular.
