Is it a good time to get a fixed rate mortgage?
>get it before another wave of inflation hits
>get it before potential rates hike
>get it before war starts
>as inflation picks up, the mortgage payments will get diluted
>price of the real estate will increase with inflation
Am I fucking retarded or is it literally the best moment to get a mortgage in years - but only on fixed interest rate?
>>
It’s risqué because there hasn’t been an adjustment in prices relative to rates, it could be that you are correct but the next hiking tanks the value

If the area your buying is already down it’s probably safe

Yeah the property I'm looking at is already -22% when compared to peak transaction prices for neighboring properties in April 2026
>>
depends on local markets but i'd argue more like 6 months to a year ago was the best for mortgages but cash opportunities will keep getting better
