What's your financial goal, anons? For me it's to hit $3M and a paid off home.
>>
>>62685933
That’s a pretty good goal anon. 100k spend/year and no mortgage payment isn’t bad
>>
>>62685933
~$1m in home equity
$5m in a high yield savings around so i can pull out $200k a year
~$100k car
~$400k left over to day trade with, if i lose it all i still have the income to live off of
>>
>>62685943
yeah only issue is I need like a 12x to hit my goal, so might be a very long time. Also considering no home and just 500k with geo-arbitrage if I were to lose my wfh job
>>
>>62685933
Yes that sounds about right. But HOW??
>>
>>62685949
Keeping 5 mil in fiat and nothing else invested isn’t a very good long term move. Inflation is going to destroy that
>>
>>62685976
so wheres a good place to put 5 million dollars to ensure a solid yearly income? I don't trust stocks right now.
>>
>>62685994
just put 2 years of yearly expenses in a HYSA, the rest in global index funds
>>
>>62685949
>5m in a high yield savings around so i can pull out $200k a year
bro is retarded lol
>>
>>62685994
SGOV+TLT => wait for the crash => UPRO => VOO and chill until 2034 then reassess
>>
$40 billion usd
>>
>>62686039
5m at 4% is $200k, what am i missing
>>
>>62685949
>$5m in a high yield savings
isn't gonna get you anywhere near $200k/yr
>>62685994
$5m in the SCHD ETF will get you about $150k/yr in dividend income that has historically tended to increase faster than inflation, plus it usually has some stock appreciation that can be a nice bonus. Also dividends are taxed at capital gains rates which are much lower than income tax rates - 0% up to 98k/yr, then 15% up to around $600k/yr. Interest payments from bonds or HYSA are taxed as ordinary income using the much less favorable income tax brackets.
>>
>>62686081
variable rates
>>
>>62686081
and income taxes. Interest payments are classified as ordinary income, so you get to pay all applicable federal and state income taxes on that, using the income tax brackets.
>>
>>62686102
>isn't gonna get you anywhere near $200k/yr
then whats all this 7% minus 3% to reinvest to keep up with inflation nonsense i keep reading?
>SCHD ETF
jfc $150k is fucking nothing, thats peasant tier, HR stacies are making 300k throwing resumes in the trash all day. you're telling me $5 million dollars in an asset that can drop by 50% at any time due to global politics is barely enough to live in a fucking condo?
>>
>>62685933
Bringing us to post scarcity so that all brahmin jeet CEOs get an existential crisis when hierarchies become senseless.
>>
>>62686148
>HR stacies are making 300k
Are you a Stacy working in HR? No? Then what HR Stacies make is completely fucking irrelevant to the conversation.
