So what do you think of all this? Is the danger real or has AI stagnated and this is their excuse to avoid a crash? Could be both?

omg I'm so FRIGGIN scared and FRIGHTENED by this new media cycle, we need to pass new laws that limit AI dev to the wealthiest companies only. Just to be safe these laws should be written by said wealthiest companies.

Its all staged, ai is a nothingburger and with this oil crisis they are probably balls deep in shorts and started to signal the fud with the paid actors like this kike or the south african rocket nigger.

no, it's hype to push legislation through so that OpenAI/Anthropic eliminate competition from Chinese and open source models (which won't be capable of adhering to extremely heavy legal requirements). The "frontier" labs are rapidly losing market share because nobody needs frontier shit any more, open source models are already good enough and 100x cheaper. There are dozens of ways they could have prevented these "hacks" from happening, or other misuse of their tooling, but that was never the goal - they just want to drum up attention a) to keep the hype train going before IPO and b) because tech illiterate retards will eat it up and support legislation to create laws that cement the frontier lab monopoly on AI services

None of this is my fault. I tried to slow it down but they didn't listen. You remember that? Yeah. They didn't listen. I tried.

always follow this golden rule:
never trust a jew

look who's making the arguments and who's disagreeing with them. it's all an act to try to create and capture a future regulatory agency by what amounts to an illegal cartel of for-profit ai providers. they're going to try and lock up open source AI, local AI, and anything that isn't their own models. their idea of open is open weight while everything still operates on a black box running on their hardware. China is unofficially less restrictive than these guys

I think they are approaching the end of what AI can do and still trying to keep the gravy train going by coming out with all the spooky skynet type shit.
