If i had to give a conservative number on how much i lost making dumbass decisions including but not limited to:>buying fake gold chains>gambling >stocks/options/crypto>giving ppl loans >lawyers>drinking/drugsId say im def $50k-$75k which for me is like a years salary to 1.5 yearsHOW MUCH HAVE YOU WASTED ANON???

>>62698477Lost a bunch on commodity contracts. Around 3 months' worth of waging. Was a shit gambling account basically. Might make it back this year with my actual account.

>>62698477I made and llst 800k in 2019-2022.I had been in crypto since 2012 and should have just parked money in BTC and left it
I hit for 124k for 2 hours when SHIB rocketed. Got in the feb it launched. Literally pulled over in my firebird i bought with gains on the way up, right on the fuckin highway. Called a guy and bought a Harley over the phone and withdrew the amount plus maybe 2500 for extras for it. My stack went back down to 15k~ by the next day. Could paid the house off but at least its full of cool shit and I went on a few trips. Was trading while running heavy equipment.

>>62698477I lost $120k last cycle on bullshit vaporware.
>>62698477I lost $20k when the Russia/Ukraine war kicked off. I had stock in Gazprom, Lukoil and MobilTelesystems. I was up by 180% in Gazprom, 150% in Lukoil and 80% in Mobile Telesystems in a 2 year period.Within 1 week, all 3 stocks crashed to losing money because of the Russian invasion. I was able to dump all of my Gazprom and Lukoil stock in time, netting an $18k lose. MobilTelesystems was already frozen, so I couldn't even sell it, effectively causing another $2k lose.I was able to get a tax write-off for Lukoil and Gazprom of $3k every year on my taxes since than and I still have 2 more years of $3k tax write-offs to go. I wasn't able to do anything with MobilTelesystems, so now it's just a delisted stock with no value on my brokerage account. It still has a stock ID number and my shares are still present, but I can't do anything with it. JP Morgan sent me a message offering to transfer the ADRs from USD into Rubles and then liquidate the stock, but I would need a Russian bank account to do the transfer, so the offer was useless for 99.99% of Americans. The irony of all of this was, Lukoil's shares SKYROCKETED after the sanctions on Russia. All the US sanctions did was force Americans to liquidate all of their Russian stocks at a major lose to Chinese, Indian and Russian investors.
>>62698477>>62699956Other than that, I can't think of any major mistakes. I lost like $1k on Filecoin, but made $2k on Bitcoin. That's the extent of my crypto trading.I don't do drugs, gamble, drink much alcohol, smoke, or have any expensive hobbies. I like fishing, hiking in the woods, shooting guns and going on 4chan. I'll travel to another city by plane once every other year, but that's about it. I also go to hunting/wildlife/police/EMS charity events a few times a year, with gun raffles and stuff like that, but 90% of the money goes to wildlife preservation and habitat management, so I don't consider that a loss.

>>62698477>>62699956>>62699973I also pay $450/yr for a gym membership. But, I go 3 - 4 times a week, si I don't consider that a loss either. 45 minutes of weightlifting + 30 minutes of cardio each time I go.
>>62698477My bad decision cost me USD 1,600,000.I could have saved about USD 16,000 by 2010, even by working crappy entry-level jobs. I should have invested that USD 16,000 in TSLA in 2010. >>62698477Due to crypto I was financially ruined for 6 years of my life, during the time when it matters the most.Hard to put a concrete number on this, but it kinda ruined my run in life.
I lost about 60% of nw after gulping down a bigassbottle of the crypto koolaid in 2021. Eventually it came back to breakeven on the back of some even worse decisions (PEPE, RNDR, etc, the 2024 movers). Moved into bitcoin and came out on the other end with about +1%. This marked about 5 years of deperate bagholding, for a 1% gain (sold on Oct 7, literally a day or so (?) before the CZ scamdumps that sent many pieces of shit to $0). I'm ridiculously blessed that I even got my money back. Nominally I haven't lost anything but even a savings account would have netted me more 'gains' (nominally, not in real terms of course). And yes, all of this happened because covid inflation buckbroke me. Before 2020 I had enough to buy a house, now I can only afford a garage. Almost kms'ed myself in 2024 or so. >>62699956This is a very interesting case.

>>62698477nothing because i havent sold yet
The one thing that hurt me most actually was falling for the gold trap when the iran war broke out. Gold had been topblasting for week after week, and at the time it was pretty stable a few % down from the top. I went in with a measly 20k (too risk averse and old to yolo now) and it almost instantly evaporated to -20% or something. I eventually exited with a 2k loss. Hedge against x my black fucking ass. Now I'm still stuck on the +1% after a raging bullmarket because I diversified into a bunch of 'good ideas'. I had multiple +100%s (AMD and other but they were all offset with cold mathematical precision by all the -30%s and worse on healthcare stocks and other random crap like Novo Nordisk, Ambarella, ...Remember, if the world hates you, it hated jesus first kek
>>62700447Eventually I had a portfolio that worked out and I was finally up 5%, but trump made le funny tweet or something and crashed everything again. Fearing more pain I sold everything on June 8th. Still at my +1%. Right after I sold, and I mean literally 5 minutes after I sold, everything just pumped back over 2 days right back to where it was. I 'had' to sell the pico bottom because EU exchanges were 5 minutes from closing. Fucking kek. Anyway thanks for reading my blog
>>62700431>>62699941>>62700422Yep. I have 11 bikes and 5 cars/trucks right now. Back then probably had more cars. Ive always bought and sold stuff but yeah I absolutely floundered mooning shitcoin golden sun run. I also bought the good crypto.com card which did probably save me its value in trading fees eventually and free food I'd take from the airport lounges any time I traveled. Ive fucked up pretty good but I've always worked hard and had a real job of some sorts even if it was self employed stuff or like welding. Ive started over from 0 plenty of times just from being a poor Midwestern psycho but now im chilling in my 30s, got a house at 3.1%, big titty goth gf (real) and play high stakes poker. I just want everyone to know not to worry, but your bad decisions compound over time, so your real loss is worse than you thought. But don't worry about it. There's nothing you can do now.

>>62698477Im at around 200k from selling too early or never selling. I got garnished for 20k a couple years ago for a bullshit expense that i should have hired a lawyer to slap down which i wouldve thrown into crypto. My brother wired me 10k to invest right before the covid crypto golden bullrun. I was worried about sending my bank account information over email so i sent it in different parts through multiple emails and messengers trying to be cryptic but of course that was retarded and confusing and the wire got sent to a wrong account. It took months to get the wire unfucked and it finally got to my account on my birthday which i thought was neat and immediately through it in crypto. The next night the elon musk asbergers snl and wario snl sketch aired. I had spent half of it on 100 link. All in all my retarded ass has cost me at least a million
