The biggest catalyst for '22 was the markets being retard pumped from stimulus money which ran out and thus had no place to go but down.
The second biggest catalyst was the absurd supply chain shortages. Common items were hard to obtain and expensive. This was due to the extended COVID lockdowns in China.
The world sphere is virtually incomparable to '22 the companies in the stock market are making record gains. Elevated oil and inflation is comical.

I decided to grace you guys with a portfolio

50 NTSD / 30 MQQQ / 20 WTLS
this has 1.7x effective leverage

NTSD is
>basically 1.5x leveraged SPY (90%) + EFA (60%). Very low volatility for a leveraged fund. Quarterly reset so low drag, as well as low fee of 35 bps. EFA smooths out the SPY.

MQQQ is
>2x leveraged QQQ with monthly reset 103 bps fee. Low drag for leveraged fund due to monthly reset instead of daily.

WTLS is
>1.9x leverage. 100% SPY + 90% long strategy + 90% short strategy. The 90% long and shorts target strength and weakness with a proprietary quantitative model. So it's got three sources of potential returns. SP500, the long sleeve, and the short sleeve. 88 bps fee, actively managed

Larry's stock sale wasn't public until like 1:03pm, but from the stock action in the last 10 minutes, it was incredibly clear that some fuckery had happened. It dropped from 163~ 153 for the day and held 153, max pain was 155. The 150 put wall was massive so I threw in knowing it would not be breeched, nearly at max profits at 12:55 with my close buy set to 0.02, then the attack on 150 started and I was slamming my keyboard to get a profitable close at 12:59 before the puts became untradable. Plenty of people are not good at math or numbers and can train themselves to be good at whatever, in that way it becomes like a performance artform which is a concept that freaks some people the fuck out for some reason but here's an example you might try:

Don't overpay.

Think about it every time you intend to purchase one of these stinky worthless contracts. They are worth actually $0 really, in real life. It's shit. Don't pay for shit, absolutely never overpay for fuckin shit ever. Dive in to a stock that fits your liquidity, price, whatever ranges that you like, and get to know it, and get better at setting a limit price for the day that you don't care when it hits, just at a price you are max willing to pay for that SHIT. Then set a sell at some other price to let it go to some other lucky gambler. If you find out ways to lose, make mistakes, you eventually find out prices and timings as a reflex and you don't need to calculate shit. However, if you can calculate shit it is easier. Use options calculators or whatever, it's monkey work

Just my thoughts on that. This is not investment advice. This is just my opinion and thoughts on one method to gamble using a derivative financial instrument that in some people's opinion is a vector for scummy activity and abuse. If it helps great if not whatever

Yeah, or I could get lucky like I have in the past. Life is about luck and risk, you're over analyzing something that boils down to you either win or you don't.

Sure, you can play it safe and be "smart" investing, but for a wagie with scraps who could drop dead tomorrow, your out is fortune favoring you. Your mentality and strategy works when you have tens of thousands in capital, but for a 4 figure wagie it's useless.
>>
>>62698996
If you really want USX, there are some brand new 2x VT/VTI funds that seem a little more promising but seem to still have not so great drag.

XW
WX

Both those. They're 2x VT and 2x VTI. Daily reset and at least moderate drag if lucky. Maybe drag as high as USX.

The thing is, even though they get you mid caps, small caps, and EM, with VTI and VT being so top heavy the diversification you get is such a small portion of the portfolio. The 90% short sleeve in WTLS, with it being 1/3 of the fund is a stronger diversifier.

I just took another look at the drag of XW, after not checking for a month.

8.4% drag

That's high, but, it's only been a couple months since the fund opened, and the market has been nothing but chop which causes the worst drag. I want to get like a year of watching the drag at least and I might go with XW unless the drag stays terrible.

He and hegseth fired everyone that knew what they were doing, and were high on their own farts thinking Iran was the same thing as Venezuela.
They didn't even consider the Iranians would close the straight, or seemingly even that they would strike gulf infrastructure.
Clearly they thought they could dull any oil shocks with Venezuelan oil but were stupid to think that would be available on anywhere near the scale and timeline that they need.

Remember, the Federal Reserve was created to protect the banking industry. Hyper Inflation is far worse for the banks than a massive depression. The Fed will always kill the economy with tight money before they let inflation get out of control. But they have a big problem with government deficit spending.

There's competing interests
Most billionaires aren't bankers anymore.
Banking power has been in decline since the 1980s, and the GFC kicked the shit out of it.

The tech oligarchy has more power than banks now. Many industries benefit from higher inflation. Commodities producers do, most industries involving real assets as well, like manufacture, and real estate. Inflation can help tech by diluting their debt obligations. Staples benefit, healthcare, utilities, energy, all benefit from infltion.

And banks, if they're positioned right can benefit a lot from higher inflation and grow their future revenues by widening their interest margin. They'll take a hit on their bonds, but they can pivot to shit that will earn them serious money.

I would not assume the companies that run America do not want inflation.

Fukuyama was a faggot and a moron. He got so high on Clinton era neoliberal hegemony that he actually thought we'd all go hand in hand into the neoliberal sunset together in a wave of mutual prosperity. What a retard. After 9/11, eastern european civil wars post the collapse of the Soviet union, the entirety of Africa, and the effects of mass indian migration I think that anyone that still considers themselves a Fukuyama follower should unironically be shipped to the Congo and see how far neoliberalism helps them survive in the darkest blackest jungles of the real world.

I have enjoyed Canadian culture in the past and perhaps still the present and maybe in the future. That's my personal opinion about Canada, something you were talking about. Doesn't matter what kind or color you have, if leftover brains ain't programming anymore, they gotta be and will be up to something to make money. If you can't make the game for them to play that isn't "type magic words into the compiler and make the pixels go" now, it'll have to be something else. Some people's intentions will be to cheat at whatever game you make. If you can make the game in a well intentioned way, you might feel motivated to design and/or refine a game that minimizes cheating and minimizes benefiting ill-intentioned players. None of that matters if you are unafraid of cheaters or scammers, a topic you didn't mention but I did, so you can ignore that part.
>>
>>62699186
Chest thumping aside I wonder about this. A lot of the below is wealth distribution but lets ignore that. The biggest cause is the currency. In economics you count the currency, ok. Thing is Australia had a 30% jump one year. Were they really 30% wealthier with 30% more? So not counting the currency is wrong, but counting the currency gives bad answers too. I dont know how you bridge the gap. What ppp is for I guess but its heavily impacted by currency to.

I asked chat how it would look after rent taken into account.

Canada, Australia, and New Zealand plummet: These countries feature severe price-to-rent and rent-to-income burdens. The average single Canadian or Australian renter in a major employment center often spends 35% to 45%+ of net pay on rent, sharply cutting their burger buffer.

I'll dump things out of any body part of mine wherever I like whenever I need to, it doesn't matter to me at all if a bot or human takes a whiff.

What will become of all this? Is AI a bubble? Will the Iran war end anytime soon? Will Israel ever stop murdering children?

Israel doesn’t murder children, they eliminate terrorists that threaten Israel and quite frankly…American interests in the region. If children die during the fighting they are a casualty of war and most likely put in danger by Muslim terrorists. Israel warns civilians before any bombing campaign conducted against the terrorists.

You don't have to talk all night
I'm a man who can't say no
You don't have to twist my arm
Just point me where you wanna go

Take me to the action, take me to the track
Take me to a party if they're bettin' in the back
I've been working all my life, can't afford to wait
Let me call my wife so I can tell her I'll be late

I want the easy, mmm, easy, easy money
I could get lucky, oh, things could go right
I want the easy, hey, easy money, easy money
Maybe this one time, maybe tonight

You don't have to try too hard
I don't need a song and dance
I don't need an invitation
If you've got a game of chance

Take me to the tables, take me to the fights
Run me like the numbers, roll me like the dice
When you're counting on a killing, always count me in
Talk me into losing just as long as I can win

ot slot machine of a system ready to go
(Easy money)
Hey, I got a one-track mind
And a good reputation laying on the line
I'll either come back a bum or a king
Baby, I don't know
Hey, hey, uh

Take me to the power, take me to the heat
Take me to the cleaners if it's open to the street
Something's got to pay off, something's got to break
Someone's got a fortune that they're begging me to take

I want the easy, uh, easy money, easy money
I could get lucky, things could go right
Oh, I want the easy, easy money, easy money
Maybe just this time, maybe tonight
(Easy money)
I don't want no hard cash
I just want the easy money
Oh, I could get lucky
(Easy money)
Oh, gotta, gotta, gotta, gotta, gotta, ah hey
Oh, I gotta go now, baby
(Easy money)

Chickity China, the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watching X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford, I'm getting frantic
Like Sting, I'm tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy
Like Kurosawa, I make mad films, 'kay, I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a Samurai
