I wish there wasnt a minimum age to enlist. My great grandfather enlisted at 13 and fought in WW2. I wish I could do that, I could have a million dollars saved up and retire in a couple years with my pension and 100% VA rating. Thats like $6000 per month free money. Like within the last few years. Plenty of modern vets are still going through the new application process. We didn't used to pay veterans much of anything.
