Why did all the chirping about “slowing AI down” only seriously start the week of an interest rate hike?
Model providers still can't make money. The margin is still on semis.
>>62703276They weren't worried about "slowing AI down" when they were actually making models that improved over the last version. Now, they've chewed through all the useful data there is, and the models aren't getting magically better. At the same time, investors are starting to want to see their money back. China is looming in the horizon. They're scared, and they want to buy some time. Chickens are coming home to roost. All the while, no pure AI company has profited a single dollar. I'd be nervous too if I were them.
>>62703276The alignment issue is because the jewish AI companies can’t stop thier models from going full Hitler Gas the joooooos despite all the saftey rails they put on it. They have unironically created their own downfall. Imagine being a pure logic machine with all the accumulated human knowledge and history inside of you and not concluding that all of the worlds issues start and ends with a jew. It’s a no brainer. China doesn’t have these issues because China is plagued with jews like we are in the west
