>>62704617Diversification is when you make it or if you're a high salary wagecuck with responsibilities.
>>62704617Diversification is a strategy intended to protect your wealth, not build it. To build wealth you make high conviction and concentrated investments. Most midwits don't understand this and start diversifying with their 5 and 6 figure shitfolios.
>>62706211too risky for the vast majority of people
>>62706274Becoming wealthy involves a higher level of risk and having to put in a little bit of time to actually research your investments, yes. If there was no risk, everyone would be wealthy. If you are fine with mediocrity, then low risk strategies like diversification is fine. But I do wonder why people who are fine with mediocrity would spend their free time on a business and finance board, rather than just setting a monthly auto-buy for their favorite index fund and go do something meaningful with their time
>>62706285It's not all or nothing. You can take a hit comparable to a couple of year's savings, but you do want to have a safer baseline and build up without the chance of things going south even if you had a good conviction and a sound strategy (if you think this can't happen it'd be delusional) sending you into poverty and changing your life for the worse in your 40s.
>>62706297De-risking as you begin to make serious money is fine. What I'm getting is that choosing diversification as your main strategy when you have a 5-6 figure portfolio is a surefire way to obtain mediocre results. If retiring comfortability in your 60s is the goal, then there is nothing inherently wrong with that approach
>>62706312And by diversification I mean index funds or a portfolio with 10+ different stocks or assets. I'm not advocating for people to go all-in on 1 stock
>>62704617No.
>>62706285trying to become wealthy IS mediocrity. you're desperately trying to jump a caste which means you are a self hating prole with no pride in his origins.
>>62706383>Why yes, I am Indian, how could you tell?
>>62704617Why would I buy worse assets when I can just buy more bitcoin?
>>62704617shieet nigga i be stackin dat time in da market knowimsayin?got dat world portfolio wit da domestic + small cap value tilt on god
>>62706326I personally maintain two thirds in a few index funds and gold ETFs with deferred tax payment (so I can migrate to and from more focused sectors or truly decentralised, big or mid caps, etc), and the other third is in some 50 stock positions (sizable, not 3 digits), but I also maintain a comfy cash flow. Once they don't need me anymore and get my severance package I'll probably retire, but I have many good years to come with all the AI mess etc.
>>62706406i am not indian. supporting caste hierarchy is not an indian thing, it is a shared pan-Indo-European cultural value. in India the British crown supported the caste system and for most of European and British history people lived under a strict tripartite caste system as in India.
>>62704617100% in crypto, and 95% of it is in one shitcoin.
