>2 million USD in S&P500>2 million USD in money markets>270k USD in real estate equity>0 USD in cryptodid i 'make it' yet or not?
>>62706559depends what you want to do with the money
>>62706650wait for it to compound
>>62706654Then yeah you are set, but what do you mean by "money markets"
>>62706654i mean what do you want the money for in the endif you don't need the money otherwise you wasted your time acquiring a pet rock
>>62706657you don't know what money markets means?
>>627066581. freedom of location and time2. never having to work some job i hate3. being able to say no to whoever i want and not associate with people i don't like4. some level of comfort and better class of living than most (nice meals, trips, etc)
>>62706559what's your income like?>>62706663yeah if you're already doing all this you basically "made it", but if you don't have enough to support a family and raise kids then it doesn't really matter and you used your entire life to pleasure yourself
>>62706668>what's your income like?like 30k usd monthly but it can vary a lot and somewhat unstable>yeah if you're already doing all this you basically "made it", but if you don't have enough to support a family and raise kids then it doesn't really matter and you used your entire life to pleasure yourselfis what i have not enough to do this if i let it compound a bit? im 27
>>62706663okay and how much is this going to cost you?the only valuable thing in the end is time, you've got your numerator (money), now you need your denominator (spend rate)
>>62706685i spend like 60k usd per year and most of that is mortgage which is going to gradually fall. also the amount i spend is low because i work all the time and don't do much else
>>62706675no bro 4.5M at 27 is too late it's over, i'm sorry
>>62706688okay, assuming a 4% safe withdrawal rate, 25 x 60K is 1.5 million dollars so you should be extremely safe sitting on 4.27M, although I would personally diversify outside the S&P
>>62706694>although I would personally diversify outside the S&Pthats what i am going to do with what i have in money markets now. going to move into all world stock index over time
>>62706675you're at a really important time in your life anon. depending on your genetics your youth is rapidly approaching its end, your hair will begin to thin, your metabolism will slow down, and the thrill of living itself will diminish. I'm 32 now and I feel much much older than I did at 27. sure, let it compound, but if you ever wanted to go on an adventure now is the time to do it, especially before world politics get any worse. travel somewhere that 30k would make you a king and live it up a bit. buy some good gear and hell, hire a guide and go do some outdoorsy shit. figure out which cuisine you like best and then go wherever they make it best.
>>62706697>depending on your geneticspeople still mistake me for 20-22. not even coping. hair is fine and i've been on tretinoin since 2021 for skin.but yeah I should probably live it up/travel a bit or something before it hit 30>travel somewhere that 30k would make you a king and live it up a bitim not really into living in third world countries just to try and cheap out but i get the sentiment. thanks
>>62706703people usually guess im 25, when i was 27 people still carded me when buying alcohol. trust me, it happens fast. you don't necessarily have to go to the 3rd world and fuck around with cheap prostitutes like a lot of older rich guys do, you'll have more buying power in places like Japan and Canada. even parts of europe will help make each dollar go farther. that way you can live a nice life and still save up, possibly even meet a wife who is going to appreciate that money way more than an American.
>>62706559Depends on the cost basis and where the money is. If the money market is all after tax and the sp500 is mostly roth/after tax then yeah. It obviously can't be be mostly roth though unless you got a ridiculous trade and then locked in. If there is a lot in pretax iras you should fucking retire and take 72t distributions or you will have a big tax bomb when youre older.
>>62706806im in europe already, just using usd because most on here are american>>62706820about 500k is tax free investments. the rest i would have to pay tax when i take gains
>>62706559Nope
>>62706826Yeah you made it, most likely you have a king's ransom in whatever country you're in. Enjoy
>>62706559you didn't make it.
>>62707066so how much to make it then
>dollar suddenly becomes worthlessThanks for playing.
>>62708354how many weeks?
>>62706559If you're 70 and are looking to fund your retirement with the 2 mil in money market funds, then it's a good strat. Otherwise this is not a growth position at all, this will compound quite poorly.
>>62708456the 2m in MM will be gradually deployed into stocks
