What happened to online dating apps? I thought it was supposed to be the next big thing, but it rugged?
They couldn't survive the bot epidemic. Making fake profiles beat making real profiles.

You dont really hear about dating apps anymore. Do people not use them? Did everyone give up?
>>62709412Here's your non /pol/ anwser. These are tech companies at their core. Recently they moved from procurement seeking to revenue seeking and the user experience has plummeted. Similar to how streaming services back in the day used to offer a lot of content for a cheap price in order to get a larger portion of market share. After the market had been saturated they started putting in more ads, locking more features behind pay walls, and upping the subscription price. Happened with streaming, ride share, food delivery, and now dating apps.
>>62709412They revealed 99% of women just want hot guys, the amount of women who you can actually get without being hot even while paying for the app is extremely small, the vast majority see paying for the app as the cuck bullshit it is. By giving the dating app money you're admitting that you're not hot, and it didn't work, so nobody paid for it.
>>62709412>>62709420I will always be thankful to jeets for botting and killing that shit, classic and quasi botting by their sheer mass. Also im sure they have fake profiles of hot white men and when they show up on the date the women gets so frustrated they wont use them again.I should be taking a bath in the holy ganges to show them my thankfulness.I bow to Lord Vishnu, the one of peaceful form, who rests on the great serpent, who has a lotus sprouting from his navel, and who is the lord of the gods. He is the support of the universe, vast like the sky, dark-complexioned like a cloud, and blessed with auspicious limbs. He is the beloved of Lakshmi, lotus-eyed, and attainable through the deep meditation of yogis. I salute Vishnu, the destroyer of worldly fears and the sole lord of all worlds
>>62709412In 2023 everyone realized that dating apps are basically a pimping company to get male gigalos into the hands of women the charade stopped. The gigalos realized they didn't have to pay to get with women, and the bottom 90% of men that would pay weren't getting matched, and the women were never going to pay to begin with.
>>62709479What's the deal with this cross-platform phenomenon? Is it that these services weren't as much more efficient as they promised? A few friends worked for Uber when times got rough. It's an impressive operation. The Indians and others that do it and their scamming and laziness my friends saw made me question how much better it was than historical delivery.
