That's fair, since I hate my company.
>>

Welcome to capitalism and in fact probably no one loves you.
>>
>>62709950
Once they've made up their minds how they feel about you they don't change their minds about it. Your job is an income provider service. They don't care about you. The only positive here is they actually don't hate you since that would be far too personal.
>>
>>62709950
Well it makes sense. Cant accommodate everyone all the time. Is there ever a good time to lay someone off?
>>
look how many times that faggot starts his sentence with "I".

>Your company doesn't care about you
Was there any indication anyone has ever thought they did?
People don't go to work because they like it, and companies don't give people money out of the goodness of their heart.

If it was meant to be fun they wouldn't have to pay you to do it.

Luckily I got fucked over by corporate at my first job when I was 18, so I learned early. They broke a lot of labor laws so I contacted my union, and upper management were terrified of getting sued so I got a sweet deal out of it. Fuck them

There used to be a balance between employer and employee.

>Paternity leave
I'm sorry, but did he push a baby out of his penis?

It's funny watching the gears of a corporation be proud goy slaves. My brother is in upper management and he talks down on people who max out their piddly two weeks of vacation and sick days. Meanwhile he has no children and lives in a shoebox with an inflated price tag. I'm sure the corpo will take real good care of him in his hour of need. I sure won't, fucker owes me money and refuses to reduce his corpo slave lifestyle for a little bit to pay it back.
>>
>>62709950
>Your company doesn't care about you.
Nobody cares about me, corpos not caring about me was always just a given. When I die, no one will care beyond the inconvenience of losing whatever labor I provided.
>>
>>62709950
I already know my company wants to fire my ass but every month they get reminded my department is only 3 people doing the job of 6 people. I also know they are trying to make it so we only do the jobs of 4 people just to fire me.

Without the regulatory apparatus that strangles the workforce, we'd have a horde of small businesses that treat people better. Not every company needs to be a bleeding edge cutthroat financial instrument
>>
>>62712635
small businesses treat people like absolute shit. your referring to bare minimum compliance with health insurance offerings, worker's compensation funds, etc. as 'regulatory burden' is telling.
>>

Omg capitalism is le evil, better get a job in the state-run coal mine. Thanks for this OP, seriously.

It's wise to remember that employees and employers have conflicting and dramatically opposing interests. You want to be paid as much as possible for your work. They want to pay you as little as possible instead. You want good working conditions, health and safety. They want to cheap out on everything to maximize profits, even if it could mean death and injury. Even if you do outstanding work, the company will still try to replace you with someone cheaper the first chance they have.
>>
>>62712762
It always comes across as disingenuous when someone "all of a sudden" realizes that stuff. Like they basically admitting they are retarded, not having realized it up until then.
(Yes, they're really astroturfers/agitators, that goes without saying)
>>
>>62712607
If you can cut off work to go hang out with a baby for months at a time with no impact to the company, then I'm sorry, but you're clearly not making a big enough impact at the company to avoid a layoff. it's also creepy too.

>t. has never worked for a multinational
Nice strawman, you fucking marxist hack
Try addressing things that are actively being brought up instead of using headcanon
Without being told exactly how to run a business, small business can conduct it how they see fit. If (You) are treated poorly, you find another business. In an environment with options, employers quickly discover retention is paramount and treats good employees well, because they're sort of required to in order to maintain their advantage. If there's only a handful of megacorpos around, they can afford to treat their workers like replaceable automatons, because where else are you going to take your work? Turns out centralization is almost always shortsighted
>>
>>62712786
>everyone has perfect information at all times or theyre a shill
underdeveloped mind at work here
>>
>>62712786
I think a lot of people are just too naive and too kind-hearted for their own good and employers abuse the fuck out of it. People mistakenly assume if they hold their end of the bargain, work hard and stay loyal then the company will also be fair and will reward their efforts. After all, from young age we are taught to treat others like we want to be treated ourselves, which is a trap when it comes to employer - employee relationship.

my company offers 3 months of paternity leave, and everyone takes it, nobody has gotten any negative repercussions for taking it, but i work as a high tech technician in manufacturing and business is booming now. my wife had a c-section and was basically on bed rest for a month, and we have another small kid that meeds tending to. if i didn't have paternity leave we'd have been fucked
>>
>>62710435
if you jave too many sick days then finance and hr (who outranks management) will tell you that you have to take time off and use them
>>
>>62712895
if you have too many sick days or vacation days saved up*, i meant to say
>>
>>62712786
It can still be shocking just how cold and inhuman they are (now literally inhuman since the ranks are full of shitskins). I remember my company trying to fuck me over the vaxx and going
>well da president said
No I never took it, and I still work there because our interests align, though I despise them.
It's also weird because I feel bad if I fuck up or let people down when I really shouldn't give a fuck. I just do, and it takes a concentrated effort to counteract it and have a healthy outlook. And desu I hate my lazy coworkers they're dumb and annoying to work with when you have to pull their slack knowing you make the same money.
>>
When I was young a mentor told me, "Son the moment a company starts losing money they will lay you off. Don't ever put the needs of the company above your own."

Now that doesn't mean to slack off or do a bad job, but you should never destroy your health or happiness for a company that will only see you as a labor cost.
