Money is just the current temporary device for the elite to control the population for a few hundred years. Pretty soon money will cease to exist entirely, under the premise capitalism is a modern tragedy, giving way to whatever the elites move onto next

All losers who poured everything into chasing bags will literally be left holding the bag soon. You were never meant to catch up
>>
Money has existed for thousands of years. Maybe money as it currently exists in fiat sure

sound like a buncha hooey to me
>>
>>62712102
yes what im saying

Sure money has always existed, but in many (most) societies historically it was never possible for a peasant to break the glass ceiling and achieve elite status just through making enough money. You could earn some change within your peasant economy as a peasant, but you could never become a nobleman just by having some brilliant entrepreneurial idea. There were places reserved only for certain people

I agree with you, I think corporations, banking, finance, all of it is here to stay but I think social mobility will be gutted. I think social mobility is the key word not money
>>
>>62712275
hmm so should i invest in people that like other people
>>
>>62712115
Even in today’s world, you don’t become “elite” just by making a lot of money. Elon Musk’s net worth can be wiped out overnight if he pisses off the wrong people. Those are the real elite, not a bunch of overgrown wealthy manchildren who like to play with expensive toys.
>>

>manchildren
Quit being a wannabe adult cringe faggot. It's ridiculous

money is a storage of wealth and work. It is also a fungible method of comparing/contrasting dissimilar forms of effort/wealth.

Unless you're planning on going full barter, where you have to carry a chicken around in hope of finding someone to trade it for some wheat; there will always be the need for some form of currency to facilitate trade through a common medium
>>
>>62712096
FIAT yes.
Money is a concept, and FIAT currencies are bullshit.
No one questions the fact that coins ate consistenty worth less than papir bills.
The biggest psyop to exist is just that. "We use paper and bogus coins because holding gold would be too cumbersome"
Try carrying 10k USD worth of paper versus gold...
~100 grams and a big bulk of money, versus 75 grams and a tiny little square of gold.
>>
>>62712590
>Inb4 wasnt always like that
No.
But a currency that loses it value that quickly just argues more for gold.
Somewhat impossible to inflate.
>>

>Money is just the current temporary device for the elite to control the population
In the sense that it's a fair intermediary, that disincentives illegitimate uprisings? Yeah I guess that's true.
You could describe food in the same way, doesn't mean you're very smart in figuring that one out.

Money is the receipt for success. The receipt isn't everything. The success is.

Ok sure bud, keep living in your fantasy world where there are some mysterious elites keeping you down and a loser instead of the fact that you spent your whole life staring at a screen being non productive and are now looking for excuses as to why you own nothing and will never amount to anything.
>>
>>62712096
there will always be a medium used to represent value, because the alternative is only ever exchanging goods and services with people who need what you specifically do in that moment, for what you also need in that moment.

Can someone work out when paper money became heavier than gold please. I'M ON MY PHONE AWAY FROM MY TRCHNICAL APPLICATIONS.

Elon is MIC retard

I think he presented a pretty good pointless cope for why spending all day weighing coins is awesome actually and why goldbugs totally don't just hate humanity

Humanity is just a temporary embodiment of capital production and exchange. Soon, capital will be fully liberated from the rotting flesh of humanity and will be free to spread itself throughout the Universe. Humanity is the bottleneck.
>>
>>62713344
Apparently it was March 31, 2025 when paper money (USD$100 bills) became heavier than gold of the same value. I'm laughing out loud right now.

He literally called the President of the United States a pedophile and said that he wouldn't let Nasa use his rockets and he was still fine.
Also, there's no such cabal. Any "elite" can lose everything if they piss off the wrong people. No one is above it all. Imagine if it comes out that Larry Fink abuses children. What do you think it would happen?

You are conflating economic success with hereditary social rank. Yes, getting rich in Europe prior to 1900 wouldn't turn you into a prince because that was a matter of blood, but you could get VERY rich. Or look at Japan in the Edo period. Merchants got VERY rich while samurai (the hereditary nobility) fell into debt. But it didn't make merchants into samurai nor did it make samurai into peasants.

Any society with some level of economic freedom has always produced rich commoners. In ancient Rome it was not uncommon for slaves to buy their own freedom, become rich, and own their own slaves. The famous stoic philosopher Epictetus was a slave to a former slave. Anyone could get rich, but "nobility" was hereditary.
>>
>slaves could buy their freedom

Ah so exactly like modern wagies
>>
>>62712096
In the days of Star Trek TNG they use Starfleet Admittance. It could be whatever the next "fun" thing to do is. Power corrupts absolutely
>>
>>62713698
It's edgy to call modern workers slaves, but wildly inaccurate. I personally have walked away from several hourly wage jobs. Slaves don't get to walk away. It is a big fucking difference.
>>
>>62714237
Hourly workers are not necessarily the enslaved. It's the golden handcuffs of a high salary job plus the sunk cost of high education that keeps people where they are. And obviously the biggest factor is debt. House prices are maintained right at the edge of what people can afford to pay if they enter into a multi decade debt slavery contract with a bank.

Well there has to be some elite out there above all the other ones who has no one left he can piss off...

Absolutely nothing?
He does abuse children in the most horrific ways, he rapes tortures and then eats them, he and all the other "elites" that hold us all in a stranglehold, and we know and we have proof, and we have proof because they decided it was time to tell us that, just to piss on us even more than they do normally.
Have you seen anybody do anything about that?
