working nights has ruined my lifedont let the (slightly) extra money trick you
Explain. Is it because you're not getting stuff done during the day that you otherwise would have?
im working 12 hour nights and holy fuck i cant get any god damn thing done around here without giving myself sleep deprivation
>>62714889i work nights and quite like it
>>62714913
>>62714889>>62714898>>62714903>>62714913>>62714922Nights? As in every night? Is that legal in America? LMAO that's unhealthy as fuck. Here in Europe there are clear rules about how many nights you are allowed to work so you don't fuck up your health.
>>62715020Rotating shifts are even worse for you health, lmao. Your circadian rhythm becomes an absolute mess
>>62714889If you work during the night doesn't it means that you are free to trade stocks all day?
>>62715024This. Rotating shifts is like having jet lag that never goes away. God what a fucking nightmare those 2 years were
I'm okay with nights. I get home and try to get to sleep by 6:30 am so I can still see a little sunlight and do some errands if needed. I get extra money, and the work is less stressfulEven on my days off, I stay up all night. I go to the gym at 2 in the morning when it's empty, sometimes my roommate is up super late and we hang out. I get if you want to live like a normie you can't really do this forever, but for now I'm saving every penny until I can just reduce my hours in general and go coast fire
>>62715042I should add, that since my manager knows I have no life, and I'm one of the hardest workers, I would constantly get yanked around and taken advantage of when I worked days. The day hours weren't set in stone for my day shift. Sometimes You have to come in at 5 am, sometimes it's 9 am. My manager would "randomly select" someone to fill the night shift, or the evening shift, and then you'd have to do a week of overnights, then immediately transition to a week of early morning shifts after that. I was chronically tired, I couldn't even watch a movie when I got home without falling asleepNow that I'm nights, I will never get taken off of my shift, because then they'd just have to force someone else to be up at night to do it.
>>62715042>so I can still see a little sunlightI recommend getting one of those artificial sunlight lamps. Tricks your brain into thinking you're in the sun, so you can get a decent circadian rhythm and avoid winter depression symptoms. A lot of people who live far north where it's mostly dark half the year use them during winter to avoid falling into depression
