It's a marketing trick to appease the 'community'. It's as if the tokens are out of circulation so it's almost like the 'burn' mechanism or 'buy backs'. Notice how all the paid shills and advocates rush to defend the token by mentioning the reserve.
In reality they are stacking LINK now so that they can keep dumping on linktards after they run out of tokens to unlock. Zero guarantees or timeline for any of it.
