This morning I woke up to it having solved several issues I've been struggling with for weeks and it having produced almost publication ready plots. I'm excited but also so fucking sad. For thousands of years, if you wanted to solve a problem, you needed a living, breathing, thinking human being. Now you can just point a computer at it. Artificial intelligence was always inevitable, but I always thought it would take at least a hundred years, if not more, of progress to happen. The future looks so bright, yet also so sad. I still say there's a massive bubble in the stock market though, despite the fact that the technology is miraculous.
