Has anyone lied about their experience to get a senior level role?
>>62724631I'm sure it's happened at least once.
I lie about my experience constantly to merely try and get entry level roles because entry level apparently means 5 years of experience with a specific software now and still don't get hired.
>>62724631I was a janitor at a school last year.Today I'm the CEO of a $60m/yr company.
>>62724631Yeah I bought a company and used THEIR past performance to successfully bid several million dollars worth of new work.
>>62724711At least 95% of entry level jobs posted these days are literally fake. I even applied to one with a literal reference (director level guy at the same company mind you, and yes got the resume reviewed beforehand too) but still got ghosted. Job market is so unbelievably fucked it isn't funny anymore.
>>62724755>job interview 2 years required>get the bitch on the phone>she says it's actually 3 years even though I'm staring at the job posting>her kid is in the background because all women have fake wfh jobs nowSomeday I want to take everything from these people who ruined my life, since I know they'll scream "what did I ever do to you?" as they're burned alive.
>>62724755This. Even back in like 2017 about 40% of job postings were just pure advertisement for non-existent jobs. That percentage didn't even take into account all the roles which had to be advertised externally due to company/government policy, but which had basically already been filled by an internal candidate. And this was back when the economy was doing great. Applying for jobs now must be a fucking nightmare, lmao
>>62724631There are many jeets on this board so it is guaranteed.
>>62724772But you will only post anonymously and never do anything, so there will be no change.
>>62724631dude I even lied to get a job, I do it all the timehow the fuck do you think you’re going to land a good job without experience and without anyone who’s actually willing to give it to you? jobs aren’t about gaining experience anymore; now they’re about becoming more and more honest every day when you say you have more than six years of experience in your field
I've done this and gotten interviews but always fuck up. I'm simply not slimy enough to be able to lie well
