Has anyone lied about their experience to get a senior level role?

I lie about my experience constantly to merely try and get entry level roles because entry level apparently means 5 years of experience with a specific software now and still don't get hired.

>>62724755This. Even back in like 2017 about 40% of job postings were just pure advertisement for non-existent jobs. That percentage didn't even take into account all the roles which had to be advertised externally due to company/government policy, but which had basically already been filled by an internal candidate. And this was back when the economy was doing great. Applying for jobs now must be a fucking nightmare, lmao

I've done this and gotten interviews but always fuck up. I'm simply not slimy enough to be able to lie well
