I have tried multiple ways to get a side income in the past 3 months and nothing has made money or taken off so far. I somehow had a huge surge of motivation but nothing has clicked yet.I made a listing on Fiverr, which is obviously deader than dead. I tried to undercut everyone in a section but haven't received any orders. This was obviously going to happen and the time to get on this site was clearly 15 years ago.I made a profile on Mercor, which gets people with specific backgrounds to evaluate AI slop. I did a dumb AI video interview and haven't been accepted to any jobs. Not too unexpected but the site feels surprisingly small scale for something worth billions.I started a YouTube channel where I talk about random topics every week and read a script I write without AI. I have received very few views. I'm at least happy with my midwit essays but even making my voice public feels like a humiliation ritual. I'd die of embarrassment if anyone irl found out.I vibecoded a slop .com website that does basic stuff and tried to sell it but haven't received any messages yet. No one has used it.I started learning a game engine and using AI to learn quickly. I will feel proud if I create one, which is its own award, but I know I won't market it well.I have ideas for a few more vibecoded websites and maybe I'll put AI slop videos on social media or something. And I have an idea for an ebook.But it feels like everything has been funnelized. The internet is so big that you have to either go all the fuck in on personalising everything (i.e. showing face on YouTube) to build an actual following, or you need to be a genuine expert in something, in which case I'm cooked.
