You will work for a gen-alpha who always knew what they wanted to do, and went to good schools and always did well. Your co-workers will all be late gen-z and gen-a who will get promoted before you do.Sadly, the days where you could just, "learn to code" and apply to some company with a small portfolio of some front ends that you built in Bootstrap are long gone. That means they started their programs at 30 and 36, respectively. It is not too late to start at 27. Same with being a plant operator. University degrees are over rated. My brother made more than I did until this year, and he only has a two year tech diploma.For perspective this year I will make $175k as an engineer. My brother in his best years with a two year diploma made almost $450k (oil and gas).
