Actually expect housewife to make you life better. Why are cheap man so delusional? Are they fully in denial and influenced by the social media posts of friends who are in happy relationships?

>>62731343I want wife so I can have kids, I don’t expect to be in “fairytale” levels of love with her, all I want is a mutually arrangement where we respect each other, are attracted to each other and have sex at least twice a week and she cooks, cleans and looks after the kids. Why is this such an impossibility now? Why don’t women like this arrangement anymore? It use to be the norm
Life is longer now. Resources feel scarcer, competition is higher, inequality is more visible, and the economic game increasingly feels like a treadmill where the line has to keep going up just to stay in place. So I don't understand why wanting a traditional family arrangement is treated as some kind of absurdity. I want a wife and children. I'm not expecting a fairytale romance or movie-level soulmates. I want something mutually agreed upon: respect, attraction, loyalty, regular sex, children, and clearly divided responsibilities. If she wants to focus more on cooking, cleaning, and raising the children while I take greater responsibility for earning, I'm perfectly comfortable with that. The important word is **mutually**. The problem isn't that women have suddenly become incapable of wanting this. Many simply don't want the trade-offs that historically came with it. A woman who gives up or reduces her earning power may be financially dependent on her husband, have less bargaining power, and carry much of the domestic workload. Modern women have more opportunities to support themselves independently, so accepting that dependence has to offer something they actually value. Likewise, men can't reasonably demand a 1950s arrangement while offering 2020s expectations in return. The old model wasn't automatically fair, and the modern model isn't automatically better for everyone either. The real question is whether two adults can still deliberately negotiate a division of labour that **both genuinely prefer**, rather than assuming there is one universally correct way to build a family. If you want a traditional marriage, you're not necessarily asking for something impossible. You're looking for someone whose preferred life happens to match yours.
