He's been a huge disappointment. Even though Musk is clumsy and autistic he genuinely intends on trying to Tony Stark humanity forward. Gates just invests in literal shit, Africa, schemes and dooms about, wtf is the point?

He's not wrong but the genie is already out of the bottle. Even if the "good guys" stop or slow down development now, the "bad guys" will keep going. So the only way forward is for the "good guys" to try to ensure that their AI will be able to defend and counter against any potential attacks made by their adversaries AI systems
Of course he sees the world through the eyes of a psychopath because he is one. Humans have been able to use tools harm each other since the first time a cave man picked up a rock. The real threat is not the tool but the people exactly like him being who controls our society.
