I'm struggling to think of a place where French was spoken and Napoleon took the title of "Emperor and King" instead of just Emperor.

I've found a 14-karat gold Canadian coin I like a lot. it's a few years old and has been listed for months. It has 0.225 ozt AGW, and is 4.8% above spot.
Is there something inherently wrong with 14k coins making them unpopular? Do dealers accept them readily?
>>

>>
>>62743220
>Is there something inherently wrong with 14k coins making them unpopular?
14k is .583 Gold.
Every popular Gold coin has a purity of .900 or higher.
Dealers will probably give you less for it than other Gold coins since it's less pure, but they'll still probably buy it since Gold is Gold.
There's nothing wrong with 14k, it's just more common to see in jewelry rather than coins.
If you really like it, then buy it.

eBay in general is a pretty good place to buy rolls. The big companies like APMEX or whatever sell there alongside their websites and their prices don't update automatically like they do on their websites so sometimes you can get really good deals from their eBay stores. Anyone who can't see the writing on the wall for gold to surge to 6k by next year is an idiot. Funny now China has been purchasing gold every month for the last 2 years and have imported over a thousand tons of gold this year alone. Gold and silver slipping down is also not a coincidence considering how the Shanghai gold exchange closed for a week due to holiday. Central banks are the largest purchasers of gold and silver for the last 18 months. But sure keep shilling LINK like it's not the most useless crap in the world.

They don't have to steal it, they just ban trading, that's what they did last time which fixed the price of gold at $35 for 50 years and caused the 1980 spike.

They can't prevent the collapse because all of the credit they create is owned by someone and it represents real world resources that someone has every intent to use for themselves. There is no magical way that accounting and finance can create something from nothing, and the way the system is set up is it is taking current resources (time, labor, commodities) and spending it today and creating a promise for future resources payable in the future. The problem is the exponential nature of interest is creating larger and larger piles of "claims" to goods that simply is impossible to pay back. If the bond market stops being rolled over and all of that money gets redeemed it will either not be paid or it gets monetized into CASH which spends immediately here and now in the future and is not deferred in any way. $46TN of cash is sitting on the sidelines about to blow out into the economy and buy every every last fucking thing in the world because there is no way to save the dollar, the banks, the bonds, the pensions and insurance companies. They are all interconnected and the only way out is to destroy the currency and therefore inflate away every benefit, entitlement and even bank deposit. So everyone's savings stored in credit goes poof. And with that goes 99% of every person's "exchange value". If your customers have nothing of value to exchange then they literally can't pay for your products. A replacement currency will be created but there is no guarantee it can retain it's purchasing power. Every last bit of normalcy bias hinges on one thing and one thing only: The bond market.
>>
>>62743939
This. If Gold were to trade at, say, $50K on the SHFE, the US will try to ban it. It will find a path to the highest/best exchange rate and the US gov would ultimately collapse. We will see the US gov try to get ahead of it at that point and create government authorized exchange centers -run by kikes of course- and exchange your gold for their new, post-dollar fiat currency. It is the only way. Otherwise, a civil war will happen that will make the french revolution look like a Berkley sit-in, and heads, real heads, will roll until the People's bloodlust is satisfied. Anyone resembling a politician of ANY variety will be executed. Just my 2 cents. Have a nice day.
>>
>>62743990
Yea if the US tried banning gold it would lead to gold being astronomical in price. At this point I'm taking my shinny rocks and fucking off to Colombia, Costa Rica or Thailand.

My feedback is that gold only roughly follows trend lines over centuries because people keep fucking with it. Over the short term it can up down and sideways over decades. After covid it spent three years going sideways within a range of 25%, it will most likely trade sidways until the benner cycle panic peak comes around in a few years. Gold is insurance against a full system reset, it's not going to make you rich.

Agreed but I’m not going to live centuries. And the epoch we are in (near total jewish financial control and the replacement of natural moneys with fiat currencies) is a largely unprecedented and unique - as well as entirely unsustainable and unnatural - era.

Historical comparisons are good for background information.

What is absolutely, bedrock certain is this. All fiat currencies - without exception - go to Zero value.

And the USD has lost 99.5% of its purchasing power. Collapse of the USD and all the hegemony, lies, wars, mass graves, GoySlop, immigrants, Kalergi plan and other kike shenanigans - is not a question of If, or even When: it is Now. Inescapably and undeniably Now. All that’s left is how that plays out.

And given what we know of those at the wheel; evil, greedy, arrogant, shortsighted, fearful - it’s not going to go smoothly.

It's not unique or unnatural, every currency in the world including hard money goes through debasement as empires grow and need more and more money to fund themselves. We've been here before and we will be here again. Rome didn't collapse in a day.

>We've been here before and we will be here again. Rome didn't collapse in a day.

You speak like you’re some immortal vampire. Also funny you should mention Rome. Especially when you model where the US would be in comparison to its financial (debasement) trajectory. And no matter how you slice it the USD and all the lies it’s bought, are in the Finale.

Even the Roman Empire was so badly damaged from years of debasement and financial abuse, that the Western empire collapsed and the Eastern Empire (Constantinople) only survived because they instantiated two hard rules: Gold is Money, and No jews Allowed in positions of any power or authority. And they enjoyed centuries of golden ages because of it.

>the USD and all the lies it’s bought, are in the Finale.

They still have alot of room for jewish tricks that will kick the can down the road for another generation. The USD is actually gaining in value because all other currencies are in even worse situations, the demand for dollars will go way way up before it starts the final leg of the journey.
>>
>>62744225
Theoretically. The biggest problem is timing. The banks wringed out the American population for 3 years when the currency levels dropped 75% before they revalued gold from $20.67 to $35. You have to be prepared to stay solvent for a long time because they are going to want to reabsorb as much capital as they can. (You have to internalize the notion that the American citizenry are tax cattle and the whole blue-print is to corner the money supply (the gold is in the vaults, not your pocket) and then create a hamster-wheel for them to run on). This is why banks don't really care about the dollar getting destroyed aside from the political fallout.
My thoughts are the most important thing to do while you wait for the Fiat Fallout is to simply stay employed, and stay solvent for years of crippling deflation so you don't get shaken out of your precious metals.
They want you in the breadlines and not walking into the front door of the new financial system. The reason silver is so problematic is because it will make massive gains in relation to gold (which is the money they cornered). And this revaluation will cripple the consumer economy we have because so many products rely on the metal which has zero capacity to serve as both an industrial metal and a store of value. There isn't enough, and as we all know an entire year of silver production (850Moz) is enough to give every human 3 grams (penny size) allotment of silver for all industrial, monetary, and medical use. That fact alone should illustrate the level of relative impoverishment that lies ahead. It might not even be possible to save anymore except in coupons that entitle you to renewable commodities such as food because the price of silver and gold will be far too high. It will be high because our country invested all its capital into a service economy that can't sustain high paying wages. We did that for 4 decades of rampant debt fueled consumption and now the money's all gone.
>>

The premium on them are always so high tho.

There comes a time when silver polish is the answer. As there is no drawback to using silver polish on this piece, do it. Perhaps a soft-bristled toothbrush will help get the polish into the intricate places. When done, use a bit of dish soap (and that brush) to clean up the chemicals, and rinse thoroughly.

Who in the world is going to accept a US-issued fiat after the coming USD meltdown? The US might try to force American citizens to take it, but it will not work because the rest of the world will tell Uncle Sam to eat a bag of dicks. The US will no longer be able to bully the world and will be forced to issue a currency that will work in trade. That means a currency backed by gold or silver.

I also diversified since I was a complete newcomer to /biz/ matters and wasn't sure which asset class would perform best in the short term, plus back then there were people here who posted other assets alongside their PMs.
Of course most people don't have the time to carefully look into assets so I get why not everyone does it, but those times when something takes off and you're just trying to decide between holding for higher highs or cashing out for a pile of PMs makes all the reading worth it.

Why dont you post some wealth? You cant because you have none.

>Civil asset forfeiture allows law enforcement to seize gold and precious metals without charging the owner with a crime, treating the property itself as the defendant. Federal and state agents increasingly target gold under anti-money laundering laws and the Bank Secrecy Act, often seizing assets from innocent investors or travelers who fail to declare values exceeding $10,000. Recovering seized gold is very difficult. Specific regulations, such as 31 CFR Part 406, govern the seizure and summary forfeiture of gold .

>>

>>
>>62746072
Trading is the escape hatch.
The economy can be a doomed ponzi scheme but you can still buy silver. You can do literally anything you want long or short any market or commodity. The simple trick is that it's not actually possible for EVERYTHING to lose value at the same time. So you have to find the correct investment and accumulate a sizeable position to ensure you come out clean on the other side.
That very simple heuristic, that most concise one I can find is this: Capital vs Credit. If any asset you own, capital or otherwise has a counterparty, you are at risk.
If it takes roughly 7 years to double your money earning 10% interest, do you really think it is worth trying to collect money here in 2026 with the debt levels where they are? If you are old and you have to try to desperately keep pace with inflation, then sure maybe it makes sense. But I watched myself quintuple my silver investment in 4-5 months from $50 to $120. Why put $60 into the market for 10 years and hope to double my money when you can buy an ounce of silver and it can double to $120 and/or far beyond in a 10 year timeframe. The fundamentals support a higher price. The bond markets aren't looking too happy right now either. That "bond market" I said isn't happy happens to be like twice the size of the U.S. GDP. It's like a 100 year old oak tree dying and leaning TOWARDS your bedroom window. It's going to fall down eventually.

Appreciate you, King. I have been spending a long time trying to rehash the same damn message to put it into words that aren't overly technical and just get to the true nature of what the financial system is. I eat it up when I see your screenshots.

Remember when a bunch of Nickel inventories showed up warehouses just being a bunch of bags of literal rocks.
Smarter people than YOU are heading towards the exits in the Fiat Fallout. It's not hard to imagine that graph hitting Zero and literal paper-millionaires showing up with a portfolio full of stocks and bonds desperately trying to buy physical metal and it just won't be available.
What does Supply & Demand say will happen? The $46TN bond market can buy out ALL of the precious metals markets forward for decades into the future. It wouldn't be more than a year's worth of interest payments to buy it all so there is NOTHING left.
The only way to balance the debts and real-world commodities is a drastically higher price of everything.

SLV can and will default whenever the tiny hats that run it decide.

I read the prospectus.

If you don’t hold it, you don’t own it .
But that’s what you’ve been recruited to fud and you’re terrible at it.

Supposedly you only need 60oz to be upper middle class. If this is true then this is the foundation literally EVERYONE needs to be following. Silver prices today are only 50% off of their all time high and the fundamentals support a higher price which ALSO protects you from the Fiat Fallout.

>Trading is the escape hatch
I get your point, the typical model of a rough 10% return per year that takes 7 years in order to double. But why do that, when one could buy silver, which is likely to outperform within the same timeframe? In general, do you think it's still worth trying to trade at this point of time? Can they keep kicking the can down the road long enough to make gains? I don't want to start investing just before the bubble pops. I figured we'd stay on the slow boil path, but things have really started to accelerated in the last couple years. Also, how dumb is it to buy paper metals? I already have a decent physical stack, figured it'd be better to have paper metals to track the same price movements, while not having to give up my real and tangible stack of scarce metals if I do need fiat for whatever reason.
>>
>>62746266
Paper metals were invented to bleed off demand for physical.
It’s only purpose is price control of the shiny.
Those who (buy) it are defeating themselves

I personally worked my ass off doing two jobs (1 weekend off per month) for three years stacking as much metal as I can. I think it is the rock-solid foundation you need before you can do much else.
I still contribute small amounts to a 401k to capture the matching. (This will help a lot if you need to buy a house or take out a loan against it). There are no guarantees about the dollar system, because the banks and Wallstreet can do literally anything they want. International cooperation is something that probably gets planned on a multi-year basis. I have always pointed out that monetary systems work because they last LONGER than a single human lifespan. You have to stay employed and liquid and be prepared for years of DEFLATION. ( October 1929 was the great depression, April 1933 was the revaluation of gold).
My second goal is to look at 2008. A massive deleveraging event occurred and everyone will tell you it was all about.... housing?! Did you know that a massive short squeeze in Volkswagen occurred as well? I never knew that happened. That EXACT SAME SCENARIO exists in GAMESTOP right here right now in 2026.
Gamestop is a capital asset because it is OVERSOLD. It was naked shorted. Shorts have to buy shares and hence the price has to rise. (The fundamentals are also improving and the company is debt free and flush with cash. This is a quality capital asset despite the credit risks of the shares being held by brokers).
Once you get a stack of silver, you want to look for a TRADE that you can then turn in to even more silver. Don't just buy silver with your cash. Opportunities exist even in 2026 and you will want to be savvy enough get in and out of those trades.
Back in May of 2024? GME squeezed and that very day I placed an order for $15,000 of silver. I couldn't afford that much silver ever, if not for that price fluctuation.
>>
You only need 140,000 ounces of silver to make it. Once you get that much sell it and buy a real investment

0.00% of the human population can acquire this amount silver according to the spreadsheet.
The problem is the price of silver is too low, and it's too low because the value of credit is probably overvalued 80-100%.
There is no other way to square that circle: How can 140,000 ounces of silver satisfy 0.00% of the human population, but still only be worth $3.5M? 10% of America are millionaires. But there is 0% capacity for them to all turn their wealth into physical silver.
See the problem, folks?
Your dollary-doos have an asterisk. The Fiat-Fallout is actualizing scarcity relative to your credit claims to resources.
Get your silver early or not at all!

I know. Paper isn't the same thing as physical, that you realistically can't take delivery. Etc etc. I can't find it, but the end goal is that Morpheus meme, where the point isn't to convert physical into fiat, but to use physical metals itself as the medium of exchange. But until we've reached to such a state, fiat is still needed for daily needs (food, gas, bills, etc). My question was more of, has anyone tried to use paper metals as a riskier HYSA? Does it makes sense to do so? My thinking is, why put your emergency funds into a HYSA that earn 4% or 5%, when you can get better returns with paper metals. Paper acts as the sacrificial layer, so you don't need to dip into your physical stack.

Did not know that. I'm aware this is /pmg/, but it is refreshing to hear that someone is trying to multiply their fiat, to buy even more silver. One can squeeze more gold/silver out of their paycheck via some investment, instead of the easy path of buying gold/silver directly with the paycheck remainder. This is the part I'm trying to figure out. Any tips or recommended resources for learning what/how to trade?

Again…I’ll say it slower….ANY investing in paper metals serves to control or lower the price of the underlying physical metal.
If paper metals did not exist, the price would be determined by the rarity of and demand for that metal. That demand gets watered down by people buying paper certificates issued hundreds of times for each ounce of actual metal.
With paper, you will only make what ((they)) allow.
That’s why the Haifa Usury Tard Battalion pushes it so much.

But, you do you

Shit's all fucked, if you weren't alive and working prior to 2007 you really don't have any idea what "real" interest rates look like. Money has been sloshing around for decades and it's not a sign of health. Books to read?
>Economics in One Lesson
Don't fall into the rabbit hole of Austrian Economics because it starts to mix ideology with economics. Learn the broken-glass theory and the law of unintended consequences
>A Random Walk Down Wallstreet
A classic on investing back from the 1970s. Read the wisdom of investing where you had "real" interest rates. The investing landscape was BORING. You bought index funds. almost NO top-tier hedge fund managers ever beat an index fund. Read this and then look at today. Covered-Call ETFs give away 7%-10%-50% and even 100% away. How is this possible? Are we post scarcity? No. The Fed iterally DESTROYED their own balance sheet in 2008. They used "bank credit" to buy toxic bonds to lower interest rates. It's like using a credit card to go out and buy a house where there is no chance for it to be repaid. You swiped it anyway, made the transaction and just said "fuck it, we'll pay you some other time".
Anyone who doesn't know what's going on needs to read those two books and then start watching youtube videos from EuroDollar University because it focuses on the banking aspect of finance that is the rotten core you won't see in your everyday life.

As interest rates rise silver will fall another 50% by this time next year
