I see many Americans who like to brag about how they are much richer than we are in Europe but they make a number of fallacies.1. The ignore that in Europe many services are free or heavily subsidised. Not only healthcare but also transportation, education, childcare, and even food.2. They ignore that in Europe the price of goods in general is cheaper. Only consumer electronics are the same price but everything else is cheaper. The PPP of a Euro against a Dollar is much stronger for the Euro. When PPP is considered accurately, it is clear that European salaries are equal or above the USA salaries ontop of the superior socialised services.3. They ignore wealth outside of personal monetary wealth. Things like being able to walk outside in a beautiful historic city or enjoy peaceful nature a short cycle from my home. Living in the heart of a friendly society and not being trapped in a suburban prison. There are more reasons also but these are the most significant ones in my opinion.
>>62747231>PPP
Oh vey get ready for a shitstorm of butthurt muttsTheres no arguing about that because.. number bigger always betterIt's useless to compare anways because neither europe nor the US is homogen, its all averages and median of completely different economic parts, you cant compare socal with some rustbelt and cant compare germany with hungary
It is poorer than the USA. And by your own admission, you claim to not care about sheer material wealth, so why are you trying to go toe to toe with the US in its own court? Nothing beats American excess, and Europe doesn't even try to. It's fine with levying heavy taxes and regulatory overhead on its individuals and businesses, and maintaining smaller/sleepier towns and cities. I don't get the point of claiming you're everything simultaneously, if you don't care about wealth don't start a "who's richer" battle that's clearly lost. Your doctors make as much as our retail store managers. That's the end of the debate.
>>62747231germany:Net Worth: ~€103,300 per household.us:The national average (mean) U.S. household net worth is approximately $1.06 million, while the typical (median) household net worth is $192,900as a german I can tell you we are NOT richer than americans and no public health care and rotting pension systems are not worth it. we dont even have free speech here on top of all this shit. ich wünschte mir ich wäre amerikaner.
>>62747231PPP...Doesnt even show US for comparison...Wtf, man? Make a proper post. You dont act like an European, more like a thirdie
Shut the fuck up and just open up the floodgates to USA for white European immigration again. It’s not that complicated! I thought Trump was supposed to be based. I want to do trucking in the land of the free.
>>62747284He has done it for South Africans but not Euros yet, I wish
I really wonder. I'm average when it comes to material wealth, but I've had a great life, traveled to a shitton of countries in Europe and Asia, all the normie shit. And you just come across so many Europeans not giving a fuck. The few Americans you meet, they kind of wear you down. They're always so stressed about everything, about their insurances, about their jobs, their debt. You meet a 25 yo American and they're hysterical about their debt. I've never heard a single European saying anything about "debt". It's very boring coming across American when you travel. They're so stressed out about everything, they just ruin your day. Too materialistic I guess. But they don't seem to have better standards than us. The opposite.
>>62747284Argentinian and South African whites only, eurogay
>>62747265It’s the same here, I’m French, and I can tell you that we aren’t as wealthy as Americans. Claiming otherwise is absurd.
>>62747231This is a complete joke you retard.Income is not wealth. And this is before taxes.Median wealth is not even half in Germany then what it is in the usa.
OP is likely the same sperg who had a meltie in this thread >>>62746090
>>62747231This us vs europe dichotomy was fun in the 00s and 10s, but nowadays I get the feeling a lot of anger is directed by people living in one of the few functional societies towards the other. Yes, the us is extremely silly in some regards. Yes, the eu is pretty dumb in some regards. I still wouldn't like to live anywhere else and direct the anger towards the parasitic indians/arabs/funny hat people that burden western societies with their presence
>>62747231As a dutchie, I really don't know how you pulled all that shit out of your ass.Just the taxes on our fuel, electricity and gas are around 150% the cost of the TOTAL price of it in the US. We have 21% VAT which makes all consumer products massively more expensive. High minimum wage makes the groceries super pricey too, and most services. A pizza in a shitty italian place is 20 euros minimum.Trains are one of the most expensive in the world, so are buses and most public transport. We have the highest car tax in the world, I am paying 600 euros a month on tax and insurance for an old, cheap shitbox.Education is indeed much cheaper, that one is true.Healthcare is technically cheaper but extremely hard to get, they just tell you to wait and take paracetamol unless you are basically dying. MRIs for example nobody can get because they're too expensive so doctors get their ass handed to them if they prescribe it, and somehow I still pay thousands of euros a year for this. I'd much rather have the option to pay extra but get proper care. This is after the 50% income tax, 56% tax on any bonuses, vested options immediately taxed as income whether sold or kept, wealth tax, and impending unrealised capital gains tax.
>>62747454It's so funny how Euros think that heir shitty Healthcare that they are forced to purchase is somehow a good thing. I had health insurance through my work when I was a wagie and never used it once in the 10 years that I worked there. Health insurance is a Jewish scam. If you take care of yourself you rarely ever need it. Since people have health insurance, they fall into unhealthy lifestyle (like goy slop, sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer, and catching all the STDs through gay sex) because they think that they have a health safety net through their health insurance but in reality they are shaving years off their life.
>>62747266US PPP is just us gdp since it's ppp relative to us. $1=$1 in america.
>>62747231- Taxes in Europe are generally more than half of people's income. So even though PPP is high, their disposable income is much lower- Free and subsidized services are almost always inferior to private their counterparts. Healthcare for example is usually slow and poor quality- The gap between US and Europe keeps increasing because social safety nets are more important, but this is unsustainable- There are more people moving to from Europe to the US than the opposite. If living in Europe with "free" stuff were so great, they wouldn't be choosing to go to the US for higher salaries- Europe is collapsing with an aging population and too many benefits, which requires plenty of workers to support
Italy here.43% tac pressure.I pay 50% for my job.I pay 26% for my share.Niggers, muslims in all city and al Little Town.Jews in all media and TV.We are fucked.

>>62747231>or enjoy peaceful nature a short cycle from my homeWe have actual wilderness to run off into and we also have city parks just like you.
The split continues to be pretty obvious:>Europe if you want a slower life with less expectations and ambitions, more guarantees, and less opportunity or upside>America if you want to chase higher salaries and live more largely, build wealth, chart your own course
>>62747251Europe isn't a country. Of course, if we only compare rich Europe like Norway and Switzerland to the US, then yeah, they are richer on average. For the sake of the argument, if we only count Western Europe we can say a few things. 1) Americans prioritize raw economic output and innovation over egalitarianism and improving the lives of their citizens. 2) It is better to be poor or middle-class in Europe than it is in the US. It's better to be rich in the US than in Europe. That's basically the difference. It's really difficult to be poor in the US.
>>62747231asuming you even are european why are you leaning in to the stupid mutt mentality of europe as a monolith? You're typing like someone who thinks all of europe's urbanism looks like a german uni town or amsterdamYou're right that people ignore nonfinancials like sensible worker protections/paid leave and the option for office place cultures that aren't completely abhorrent and that generally speaking any given workplace in "Europe" is going to be far more bearable than any given workplace in the USA from a wagie perspective. If you're deriving most of your lifestyle from a mix of ownership and being high human capital, you can generally leverage that only in specific jurisdictions within both- namely Switzerland, Dublin if you can snuff the rent or buy outright, norway, maybe parts of bavaria and austria as well. In the USA it's the I95 corridor/new england, California and the PNW.Pareto very much applies, a small amount of places are disproportionately better off compared to surroundings in both. there are cantons in Switzerland where you will pay lower effective income tax than anywhere in the USA while having cleaner, more reliable services than anywhere in the Eurozone. There are places (Really, most places) in the USA where the population is so helplessly impoverished and uneducated that you'd be better off setting your money on fire before buying anything exposed to the area. also, access to all the social services you mentioned varies wildly too even within EU member states.
>>62747231>Living in the heart of a friendly society and not being trapped in a suburban prison.I'm jelly.
>>62747265>>62747374Spaniard reporting, can confirm. The typical person has access to health services (especially if slime, nog or gyppo, these are treated better than anyone) and very cheap uni, but is poor.If the US hadn't artificially raised health costs (due to absurd lawfare and bureaucracy) and university costs (due to finance availability), it'd be perfect. As it stands you can get a much better salary with much lower tax in the US but you have to pay an extra house to get high education, and you need 25k a year for a health insurance that somewhat resembles what I have here (you need an entry-level premium insurance plus a concierge service for paperwork and less waiting, but still get a lot more questions asked than ANY private insurance in Europe).

>>62747231The conversation about the gap between Europe and the US in GDP per capita, is getting bogged down into a nationalistic narrative. It obscure how and why, which I think is really important. Here is some fundamental questions:1) Why did the US boom, and the rest of the west didn't?2) How real is this boom - Japan Nikkei bubble would have felt very real too, but anything that can disappear like that probably wasn't that real to begin with.3) The gap mostly come down to the post-GFC, and post covid-19. The US economy has basically been untouched by these crisis, while it lingered in all other major economies. Why?4) What is the structure of the US economy? is this a K-shaped thing, are major parts of the US economy in a similar situation as Canada, Europe, Japan etc. But the success of the big tech sector mask this? Or is this boom more fundamental, widespread, not just trickle-down from the tech sector, but actual real growth in non-tech.4.b) ..and the reverse, is there a similar situation in Europe, Japan, Canada, where the economy is doing much worse than we think, but it is being masked by a few tech or tech-adjacent companies that is doing good?
>>627498914 b) At least in Germany its worse then measured but its masked by massive state investments and especially arms buildup. (government spending ratio oder government expenditure-to-GDP ratio broke 52% which is higher then during covid)So its even worse since its not substainable.
>>62749891My own theory regarding 4) is that this is very top heavy growth. That the economy is more akin to the economy of the republic of Venice, or the Netherlands in the 17th century. Where massive trade empire was established, but involved very few people.Contrasting this with the British Empire, where the people in England made a lot of things, the average brit had a really high economic output.I think the US is similar to these kind of merchant empires (tech empire, not trade, but structurally similar).I also think that this tech empire is transnational, ASML, TSMC, SK Hynix, all part of the "Hanseatic league". Most of the league is located in the US.
