I know this is more to do with numismatics rather than PMs, but there's obviously a lot of overlap between the two...How much more would you guys pay for a particularly interesting (for you) coin? For example, a coin from your birth year or a highly graded coin? Is this a fools game getting suckered into paying more than something is actually physically worth? Or do you think its worth it in other ways? As a newfag, how do you tell the difference between a good price and a rip off price?I think having a sovereign from the year I was born would be pretty cool but I really don't know what's a good deal and what's not.Same with one of the reverse frosted sovereigns from this year and last. I think they're really beautiful coins but is it worth paying the huge premium just to own it?What do you think?

Went to a church sale because boomers like to donate nice things to raise money for their church. Looked for gold and 925 rings and necklaces but there was none. I was to late and most of it sold before I got there. I did manage to grab a silverwear set for 20 dollars, an authenticated prada bag for 20 and two unopened big Lego sets for 20.
