Some of my PokeyMon cards can be sold for five figs.
That's a lot of money that could go into investments and even greater returns, but they were from childhood days and I'd miss never owning them again.
It would be especially bad if the bubble pops before I sell, but after I send them off for consignment. It would be just as bad selling them before they multiply in value yet again (in case the next GFC = tangible assets skyrocketing).

Is there any justification to have sentimental value on children's cardboard?

you probably have another like 5 years of value accrual max, and that won't be nearly as aggressive as what you've seen already if it happens... it's likely a good time to sell considering all the hype. If you have something insanely rare like a mint 1st edition of a popular character maybe hold onto that a little while longer, but everything else is probably pretty inflated. Can look at how historical collection values go to get a good sense of where you're at in the cycle.

If it were me, I'd sell everything now, but to each their own.

Don't you like the cards too?

If you weren't part of the top 10% in 2025, you're lower class

you say that but let me guess they arent graded yet

They're probably worth like 500 max each because they're scratched up or have damage. None of us took good care of our cards as kids.

Take a picture and print out bootlegs you tard. Theres no reason not to cash out that much money.

Bullshit atat. Its counts grossly inflayed housing values. Just like how Elon was a trillionaire on paper but probably couldn't even cash out half that value if he tried to sell.
