So Trump is openly saying he plans to inflate away debt by having interest rates lower than inflation and giving money to the proles.
For this to work wouldn't he have to have upward pressure on wages so that it inflates faster than inflation too? Doesn't this idea squeeze the banks and financial capital class?

Any money he gives to me I'm just going to put it in my boomer ETFs. I also sold my rental property btw, housing is cooked, time to get out now while you can still find a buyer.

Basically anon it boils down to which bank and which financiers. Banks have more debt than average, due to how banking works, so in an inflationary period banks that took out a lot of debt in that currency but invested in a different currency will do extremely well, but if a bank did the opposite they're completely fucked. It's very very bad for the businesses and people that transact in that currencies markets though, as risk premiums and price signals in that currency start going crazy and destroying any value in that currency

Wouldn't inflation be a fair tax system that would hit everyone? No taxes and just spend what you need and inflate it away
