Just a threadly reminder that oil is still INCREDIBLY cheap.

The 2008, inflation-adjusted ATH for oil was $225 today's dollars.

We're going to $250-300.

Memory is still underpriced for the same exact reason. People are just too scared for the cycle peak and cheap chink memory flood. It's still an opportunity, though the easiest money has already been made, where even if MU will forever have low multiple it just makes the future hinted stock buybacks more potent, so it's a win/win either way.

If want want general chipmakers, AVGO/NVDA are the undervalued ones currently, though with NVDA being this large it may be hard for them to get a good multiple. Something like ASML may be a decent play as they have such a massive moat or maybe TSMC as they actually make the chips.

I actually happen to have decent position in gookstock as I slurped the dip during the bear market. It's mostly memory, so you may take it as an extension of MU trade. Still seems like a pretty decent buy as you can see that KOSPI reached over 9000 and it's currently like 7000, so it's still nowhere near ATH's. It's more complicated than just buying straight MU stocks, but you can probably just do DRAM as a good proxy.
>>
>>62752964
>We didn’t have widespread oil fracking in 2008.

Demand was also much lower back then too.
Did you also know that oil is a global commodity?

The reason memory keeps getting fucked up is because of completely retarded shit like this. >>
>>62752965
>isnt fracking getting unprofitable over time?
its getting more profitable as drilling and completion and recompletion techniques improve. They are lowing costs by reusing produced water (WBI, WTTR), producing a LOT of associated gas (new pipelines being built to send gas where it can be sold for better prices, and new technology convert gas to eeeelectricity). One downside is the oil produced by the formations benefitting from fracing is light and not suitable for diesel/kerosene/jet fuel. US refiners are set up mostly for cracking heavy shitty crude down to diesel, not the other way. So the US exports a lot of fracked oil it produces and is coverting a lot of the gas to LNG (newly expanded facility in Texas for shipping to Europe).

Well, memory has been traded like a commodity with little to no moat with it being extremely cyclical, so it's only natural for it to follow the same pattern, because everyone's been taught that this time is not different.

I don't know that much about it myself, but the current memory giants do seem to have a very good revenue visibility as the supply just won't come on for some time and the demand doesn't seem to be easing. You can maybe get chinamen flood the market with cheap DRAM, but that won't impact more sophisticated types of memory that are actually behind the boom and are prioritized over producing simpler types of memory and they require sophisticated lithography processes to produce, which only ASML can currently provide, which has limited capacity as is fully booked, so unless demand gets destroyed, then memory makers will make a bank for at least a couple of years as China is currently way behind on the technology and even if they will flood the market with cheap DRAM and less sophisticated memory sticks, it still won't impact the bottom line as much as the worst case scenarios may want you to think.

Memory in general also seems way more pivotal in the AI datacentre infrastructure, where it is way more specialized, so it's also quite plausible that the future of memory may have actually shifted towards being less commoditized, enabling more stable higher margins for the foreseeable future.

TL;DR: Memory is still underpriced and a good buying opportunity. The fear everyone has is exactly the reason why it's a buy and even if they fear won't ever leave, it'll just make the inevitable share buybacks more potent, so it doesn't matter whether everyone else believes the story as long as it's true.

Early results have Flavio with a solid lead on Lula. Not cracking 50%, but ahead, which is a really good sign for the runoff unless it closes when all the votes are counted.

Not that Flavio is necessarily the best politician on earth for economic growth, but when Lula is the incumbent / alternative the bar is pretty low.

Fuck me man I got so tired last week I was holding MSTR October 16th options lost 1400$ and had to sell because my brain broke and I felt so defeated. Now of course Bitcoin goes up why?

Screenshot this but Bessent must be hinting to his friends he will try to fix bonds tomorrow. I used to have 20x 177.5/180c/150p for people to jerk off about Loss Porn in the morning if MSTR is up to 180 at open. Fuckin would have made 11000 :(

The PL crushing downstream races too. Brazil might be about to start down the road of unpooring itself.

I'mma be real I went long based on low valuations, liking the individual large companies heavily weighted in the index, and the resistance to inflation and geopolitical chaos being self sufficient and an exporter in commodities gives them and yes the upside lottery ticket of Lula and his party being turfed. Did not see this coming but I'll take it and not selling even if it does 20% tomorrow. Better to be lucky than good.

That's part of why this has the potential to moon so hard.

Most investors have myopic own-country bias, and a lot of institutional investors don't do emerging markets. The only money is random amateurs and gnat-sized funds plus the locals. The local investors fucking hate Lula. Him being gone will give them the confidence and hope to invest in their own market, which will pump prices. Then higher prices will allow Brazilian companies which currently face very low equity prices and very high interest to actually raise capital and invest which will allow the entire country to grow, creating more profit opportunity for local facing firms and businesses which will in turn be more attractive for capital in a virtuous cycle.

You don't see opportunities like this anywhere on the planet often. Imagine investing early in Poland or South Korea as they started really developing. This might not be that, but it could be, and if it isn't even up 10-20% valuations are reasonable just to clip dividends.

The money goes to the bottleneck, and the bottleneck is tankers and refining right now.

I'm not an oil expert and have no fucking clue what the bottleneck will be a month or two months or whatever from now if the war continues, but that's where we stand today. Sometimes it's better to accept your own relative ignorance, buy the ETF, and leave individual stocks to people who really know the industry and hedges who can pay industry insiders for their insights. You have to stock pick outside the US though, there isn't a good world ex-US energy ETF on the US exchanges that I'm aware of.

Positions: VDE, ENFR, EQNR, EC, SHEL in that order.

Lmao. I had -13k net worth at one point and was living in a garage i rented for 250 bucks a month getting bit by spiders every night. Still was happier than your dumbass clinging to your Mee-maw and Pee-paw. Nigga you're in your 30s, time to stop being a permanent baby unless you're still wearing a diaper.

Nigga you have 700k net worth and a middle class job. You could move to any 2nd class city like SLC or the good parts of St Louis and have a year of rent paid for without hurting while figuring out what you actually want to do with your life while liviing alone. Nothing changes if you save up to 7 figures, it's just numbers on a screen. If you're fat and disgusting then they have drugs for that shit now. There's no excuse.

YMTC and CXMT have been around since 2016 under those names. They were founded on some ashes from Qimonda and Wuhan Xinxin (XMC)/Tsinghua Unigroup respectively. They could've done it already. It will never happen. People are dumb, and Gamers Nexus heavily filtered comments that criticize his shiling.

Why would they do it though? Until the recent supply shortage there wasn't much of an incentive and it takes year(s) to ramp up production.

I am not on the China FOMO, but I expect them to become a much larger player, but it'll take years to manifest with China barely supplying their own demand and whatever they will produce will only be playing catchup to what west has for at least like 2 years from now?
>>

What the fuck is with China and now Russia not being able to practice basic quarantine for their bioweapons.

Like I get wanting to stockpile that stuff for a war with us, can't blame em, but if their lab protocol is this shit they should really just not for the sake of all of humanity.

As long as they haven't bioengineered this shit to be antibiotic resistant it's fine but if they have, welp.
