Why the narrative that crypto will become a new inflation sponge that will help to fix american debt crisis is already dead? That narrative was extremely short lived, it was shilled everywhere (/biz/ included) a year ago and completely died after a few months. Why was it trashed? Because it failed to attract retail? Because clarity act?
>>62766757It was dumb to think people would chase crypto for short term treasury yields. If dumb goyim cared about yield they'd already just stick their money into a fidelity account with a base position in SPAXX. Stablecoins only ever made sense for sudamonkeys and africans.
>>62766757the charitable explanation would be terrible macro coupled with an out of control and now overallocated AI trade sucking up capital. alternatively, and more likely, it was simply a pump and dump to rape retail, much like the silver pump and dump
>>62766772But why create a complicated narrative for retail? Retail doesn't care or know about treasuries markets, treasuries backed stablecoins or refinancing of government debt.Seems like a bad narrative pick to get retail on board. Hard to imagine that was the intended goal.
>>62766790it's not that complicated. it was part of a combined push in the early months of the administration. remember all of the hope and optimism about the "bitcoin reserve", that big powwow of crypto industry retards, the big advertising push by ripple? this coincided with massive unlocks for many of the crypto projects in question. there was a fakeout dump through the first half of 2025, as all of the incoming liquidity from bulltards was repeatedly sold into. then the actual pump happened, to squeeze even more liquidity from hopefuls. this roughly coincided with the commodities mania. then the real gigadump happened and trapped all the bulls who had bought thinking they were protecting themselves from inflation.
crypto is jewed, it wasn't jewed when it ran from 300 to 20k in 2017 but it was after, and they need to move the satoshi stack for any narrative where debt units stop being used to be relevant.
>>62766821This, it’s already at maximum Jew input and being used for further Jew gains by liquidating desperate leverage addicted normies. OP is a retard, blackrock can suck my anus. Goldman lick my sach
>>62766757Imagine Uncle Sam is drowning in a bathtub full of debt, and Crypto Bro bursts through the bathroom wall wearing a Bitcoin sombrero, screaming: “DON’T WORRY, BRO! WE’LL TOKENIZE THE WATER!”That was the pitch: crypto gets adopted, trillions flow in, Bitcoin becomes digital gold, Uncle Sam’s debt gets magically absorbed, inflation gets gobbled up, and everybody gets a yacht. The financial equivalent of feeding a crocodile your mortgage and expecting it to pay off your credit card. The problem? Three gigantic holes in the clown car.1. Bitcoin is not a debt vacuum cleaner. If Bitcoin rises in price, that doesn’t automatically pay down a single dollar of US Treasury debt. The government needs tax revenue, spending cuts, or actual financing. A $5 trillion Bitcoin market cap is NOT $5 trillion deposited into the Treasury’s checking account. Market cap is the price tag on the whole circus, not cash sitting in a wheelbarrow.2. Crypto doesn’t magically eat inflation. Bitcoin might hedge against currency debasement for some investors, but that’s not the same as reducing inflation. If Washington prints money and people flee into Bitcoin, that may change where wealth is stored. It doesn’t erase the government’s liabilities or fix the budget deficit.3. The numbers showed up and ruined the party. Stablecoins actually can create demand for US debt because issuers hold Treasury bills as reserves. That's a real mechanism, not pure clown makeup. But it's a financing tailwind, not a debt eraser. Even in 2025, the roughly $200 billion in Treasury exposure associated with major stablecoins was tiny compared with America's colossal borrowing needs. [Reuters](<https://www.reuters.com/business/us-treasuries-face-stablecoin-driven-demand-surge-supply-looms-2025-06-25/>) and the [Kansas City Fed](<https://www.kansascityfed.org/research/economic-bulletin/stablecoins-could-increase-treasury-demand-but-only-by-reducing-demand-for-other-assets/>) explain
because it was mostly cope crypto doesn’t magically eat inflation or fix the debt just because number goes upthe only part that actually stuck was stablecoins buying treasuries and even that’s basically feeding the same system people claimed crypto would replace. once rates stayed high and liquidity got tighter everyone quietly stopped posting their bs/biz/ will resurrect it the second btc pumps hard enough though, give it time
