How do I detach myself from the financial system? Knowing I can't get rid of property taxes, is there a way to avoid them in any part of the world? I have savings so it should not be a problem to buy land and tools (anvil, oven, press for oils, etc).I would also need to sustain myself from the land, which needs water and costs a lot of money. Would need to have a system that collects rain water and use that as a water source. But the fucking PROPERTY TAXES, oh god, what the fuck do I do with them?
>>62767582Nigger its 100 bucks a month. Just 30k in VOO and chill.
Have your land become a nation.
>>62767582Anon the fuck are you on about? I got about an acre in eastern europe and I pay like €100 a year in property tax. If you can't make 100 bucks a year, you are less than the average street shitter and don't deserve it. >the audacity
>>62767647In the US, $5k-15k is the average tax. It doesn’t even include the tip.
whining about property taxes is what 23 year old do before they realize most normal people are fine with paying a few thousand bucks a year to have emergency services, infrastructure, parks, schools, and all the other little, hidden things a city does to make your life easier. by all means, if you want the extreme rural life, do it. the taxes will be lower, and the services will be limited. if you're okay with that, why would you be on the Internet complaining about it?
Arbitrage purchasing power, or live owner-occupied.Don't listen to the retards above defending it because mmuuuuuuuhhhhhh services, money is free, and manual labour is nearly free in the USA. In DACH and Western Europe where there is actual common infrastructure that people benefit from it's justifiable. In the USA where people bend over backward to get their children out of the public schools and the "parks" are a clearing you have to drive half an hour to just to walk around an eyesore of a trail, it's pure coercion. If you're wealthy enough to fuck off from it and move to a place that actually uses their resources effectively, do so. Otherwise, buy volume and make it someone else's problem, even if it means taking leverage.
>>62767582It's easier to just pay some dumb wagie to make you food and wipe your ass when you are old.
>>62770795implying the wagie wont scheme the entire time to steal your wealth and leave you to dieeven family members do that, good luck finding someone more loyal
>>62767582>But the fucking PROPERTY TAXES, oh god, what the fuck do I do with them?Move to someplace like Sudan and become a warlord who collects the taxes instead of paying them.
>>62767582If you have the money to buy property you have enough money to throw in an investment vehicle making enough on interest to pay the taxes on it without lifting a finger. Property tax for the average home in the US is like 10k a year, that's 250k in a 4% account. How the fuck are you planning to live with no income regardless? Even if you literally live in the woods like a caveman you're still going to need money to buy essentials like bullets and fishing hooks, and if you try to tell me you don't need even that you're a delusional faggot. It is literally easier to just pay the taxes
>>62767582move to dubai then
>>62767582West Virginia has the lowest property taxes. >>62770764>buy volumeWhat did he mean by this
>>62771407Duplex where available, ideally quadplex. If you can afford to be leveraging heavily into something with more than 4 units in a market worth a shit your risk tolerance is retard mode or you're wealthy enough that you should frankly just go do whatever you want and live on interest or divideds.
>>62771444I’ve considered this. I’m in position for my family to put 20% down on a 500k property, I just don’t think it’s wise at the moment. Looking into expat community in Costa Rica. My outlook for the jewSA is very poor so it doesn’t make sense to lock in a 30 year mortgage. I also expect msss layoffs, (((manufactured polycrises))), and other tricks. I think on one hand it’s a good hedge with the debasement plan, but then that will lead to exorbitant property taxes/homeowners insurance/routine maintenance and repairs and the “owning nothing” plan. I’ve gone back and forth endlessly, and I finally decided I’m just not doing a (((mortgage))) you guys. I’m considering grabbing a few acres of land with road access and utilities nearby to build when we have robots. That’s assuming 2/3rds of the population isn’t culled in the coming years of course
>>62771456Don’t see people being able to rent out their units of any -plex and cover costs unless you put a shitload down. People can barely get by and that’s on top of my thesis that I expect mass unemployment. Unless you’re cool with browns ruining your units off government housing checks, I just don’t see rentals as a wise investment at the moment
>>62767596>VOO>detach from the financial systembig fail
>>62767582Dude when a country is in survival mode, the people life is their last option.
>Louisiana>Homestead Exemption>Use-value assessment on timber land > 3 acres0 property tax if you get this assessed properly.
>>62767604Start a new church that's online with a 5 person worship shack that's the "church"Your house is just the maintainance living quarters if you get tax exempt status. You could even make it an investy sect.
>>62767582>Knowing I can't get rid of property taxes, is there a way to avoid them in any part of the world?many E.U nations have very low property taxes. my father has a 600 000 EUR house and his property tax is 1200 eur a year.
>>62769039there's many countries that have very low or 0 property tax and still have emergency service, infra parks and schools you retard lol. Americans are basically paying a double rent cause of property taxes.
>>62771242> the average home in the US is like 10k a yearyou can pay rent for an entire year in many nice countries for that money. lmao.
Make $4myou'll be able to detach completely economically as long as you don't spend like a retardThat's enough of a sum of money that you won't have to ever think about money again in your life.Just sit and let it compound, and have a budget to automatically deposit in your checking account every month. Most of your budget would be from dividends.
>>62773696>Just let it compound>automatically deposit >your budget would be from dividends.are you guys literally fucking mentally retarded? OP wants to DETACH from the financial system, not get completely entrenched and dependent on it. do you guys even think while you post? fucking peabrain sheep i swear
>>62773772There's no better way to detach from the economic system than to accumulate enough money so that money no longer mattersPeople call it "fuck you" money. And the reason it's called fuck you money. Because you have enough money to opt out of everything. You can set up your finances up in a trust, and never even have to look at it. otherwise, you are involved in the economic system whether you like it or not unless you completely go off the grid and squat so that not even property taxes affect you.
>>62773795there's a difference in cashing out and living with the money and or converting it to gold and physical assets like a house and farmlandor investing your entire net worth in stocks and keeping it in the banking system and living off the profits and the passive income the gains generate. it's the fucking polar opposite and I feel stupid for having to explain thisi think you confused "detach from the financial system" with "not being a wageslave"
>>62773802They're the exact same thing. There's a word for it. They're called assets. The only difference:Gold, and house - non productive assetsStocks and bonds - productive assetsYou are not detaching from the economic system by buying gold and a house. You're entrenching yourself in it. You'll be tied to that house as well, have to manage it, pay taxes, and lock yourself down with it.
>>62773814you simply dont comprehend the difference of assets within and outside of the financial system? it's called counterparty risksure this shiny rock isnt productive, but there's no counterparty risk to owning it. and farmland is very productiveit feels like your mind simply can't comprehend having assets outside of the financial system actually being worth anything, because you dont have any financial gains apparently. you are really, really far from being able to properly answer OPs question. if someone wants to live without drugs, you dont tell him to grow his own weed. you simply misunderstood the real motivation.
>>62773832You can't have financial assets outside the financial system. It's a contradiction in terms. You either opt out the financial system entirely.Go off grid, squat, do not handle money or assets. Not,>no, you can buy these assets just not these other assets I don't like. then you'll be outside the financial systemGiven that, so now we agree that some interaction with the financial system is acceptable in order to obtain a maximum amount of self autonomy. My way is much better. Your way, you are enslaved to your non productive assets and they are a constant economic drain on you. You have maintenance requirements on the house, and taxes at a minimum. Likely other liabilities to maintain your house as well. So you will need to be productive and come up with some sort of cashflow in order to maintain the liabilities you've tied yourself down to. You will be physically tied to that house as well and can't just simply up and leave. My way, gives maximum autonomy. You can do whatever the fuck you want to. You're not tied to any places, you can get up, and leave, and go fuck off in Africa, or wherever you want. There's nothing to hamstring you.
>>62773873sure mate but your way is simply not what OP asked for, so project your worldview somewhere else, maybe you'll find some grass thats willing to listen to youhe's talking about moving to a country which has no property taxes. He wants an anvil, oven and oil presses. not dividends, gains and revenue from productive assetsbesides that. no, it is not impossible to own assets outside of the financial system. this statement just shows you will never be able to look beyond the horizon of your self-imposed prison. I guess you confuse "a system of attributing value to things" with "the financial system" which apparently seems to be your framework that you are incapable to look past
>>62767582Become a monk in Asia.Live on streets as a beggar like Diogenes.A hermit somewhere remote in Canada or Russia. Thus spoke Zarathustra.
>>62767582Europe has very low property taxes
>>62771060They are very loyal to currency, everything people do is for money so as long as you have the currency they will wipe your ass, whereas your family probably won't as you said, unless you pay them of course.
>>62773653They have other taxes. In the UK we have council tax for example which is similar. The reason property tax is so pernicious is because they will take away your home very quickly if you fall behind. The same isn't true of taxes in Europe. It calls into question whether America really has property rights especially when property tax rates are somewhat arbitrary.
