I quit my job because I finally realized that AI is going to take over everything, and the time I am spending working for money will be pointless in 5 years max. I have enough money for 5 years without working

It was called "natural ice" dummy harvested by hand from lakes... and luddites bitched about "artificial ice"

It was an image model, they need a mixture of experts so the coding model can feed the image gen, ezpz lemon squeezy.

You're not just going to be dooming for 5 years, are you? How are you going to improve your lot with that time?

I thought compressors weren't made until the gilded age not the industrial revolution. Anyway, I'll just sit back and laugh at the retards that told me I needed to pay higher costs for American labor suddenly defending the lower price points of AI work.
>>
>>62769037
Which this by the way isn't a jest at rightoids necessarily, just at people who can't wrap their heads around how something can be economically beneficial and at the same time they won't see any of that benefit. It's very funny to me how the valuation of private companies and private deals have ballooned over the past decade, so many people who can't even afford the minimum purchase requirements for the hedge funds involved in these deals but are very sure they're part of the capital ownership class lmao

This

OP, you know you can also ask AI for a better idea for your panel, right?
Normal humans cannot understand your autistic mind
Just tell it the concept you are going for and ask for a better suggestion

Ai just makes a load of slop spaghetti code, even if you're clear about what you want, a skilled developer knows how to do it more succinctly, readable and extendable.

Ai just makes everything tightly coupled, unreadable, bugs everywhere.

Sure it's good for getting something up and going and writing single functions, provided you check them, but other than that it is junior dev level at best.
>>
>>62772366
You had to ask the AI for a cope didn't you?

ice is a fungible commodity
the comparison is about as nonsensical as comparing ai to the transition from carriages to cars, where arriving at a destination faster was always the more desired outcome.
>>
>>62772515
No wonder you're unemployed if this is how bad you have to cope when you're wrong.
>>
>>62772495

>Sure it's good for getting something up and going
and the consequences are irrelevant as they technically get more done in the short term.

This, people always say "AI is dirtying drinkable water and heating the planet!!!" but in reality I run a localized AI from my room to do some of my things and even with the "agi" platforms the biggest advantage it gives is automating repetitive human-long labor hours into minutes, like drawing an image 60 times per second for animation, doing collision detection for any gaming assets, coding down appropriate standard code for common things like layout animations, login guis, widgets all that would take a human weeks to months to years to accomplish. Then I have something done that would have taken 1-2 years in 1-2 months. Humans cannot compete with that and the ones who learn how to use it to make the tools and projects that produce value (like a companies data all centralized for leadership to view and adjust as necessary at any given time on their phone) then it ultimately means they get results much faster, which has always be the initial MO.
>t. developed quality systems with AI for research and those research systems ended up being bought / used.

this is false, you have it start with something, then polish each part through iterations. Your understanding of AI reflects your lack of use it, which shows how narrow your thinking is just by this post. Funny to see imo as you'd buy the hand made ice over "artificial" kek

a gap in work is a moot point anon. I had a 5 year gap in "work" because my ex made stupid amounts of money and we enjoyed life where I got to pamper her and myself everyday. All good things come to an end and I found a job that pays me 6 figs. They didn't even ask me about my gap. I just had the skillset they needed and demonstrated and they rushed me in. Keep in mind the skillset I learned was from cutting edge in key industries as a hobby, which are not taught in college but may be in the future. If you went to college and did not know how to learn on your own, you got caught in the filter.

there were movements to ban machine ice
because it hurt the natural ice industry,
and they claimed it was unhealthy

before refrigeration, people used to go cut blocks of ice out of frozen bodies of water and ship them all over. Ice was not cheap.

I imagine it would cost a lot o money to get a hold of ice in the middle of summer in Florida, but people did buy it.

Most of the seething about it was mostly rich people seething that poor people could afford ice.
the natural ice industry did continue to persist for decades,
it was seen as premium ice and a luxury.

>It's gonna make everything better!
Does NOT matter when I still work 40 hours a week. Making life better for jews does not make my life better. AI shills can't seem to really disprove that no matter how much the world gets easier, I still must work 40 hours a week for kikes to survive and thus I don't think I want to experience the world getting even shittier just so they can earn more money.
>>
>>62774371
have you considered that maybe you just have a shitty job?

I automated my workload years ago (I did this even before SI, I had like 200 powershell scripts and used RPA, now it's even easier to setup) now I barely work 2 hours a day, its been great
>>
>>62768950
this is a hilarious mid wit take
>Ice was harvested from frozen rivers and lakes. Packed in Sailing Ships. Sent around the world to "Ice Houses" to keep until next shipment. The Boston Ice King ruled this business
>Someone discovered rapid condensation on boilers can cause ice. Makes a boiler to induce rapid condensation. First Ice machine created.
The difference is I will drink a drink with either ice. I will not watch AI trash, or use AI to make art. I use AI to make the tools I need to make the art. as I would use the machine ice to make a delicious drink
Obviously sending ice in sailing ships around the world while their cargo melts was not a long term business solution. Hubris ultimately brought ruin to the Boston Ice King, for he never thought a machine could make ice.

I noticed something strange. Sometimes I ask Claude to shit out some slop for a shader, just to see what my idea might look like without having to code it myself. I don't really bother looking at the code. It was only recently that I saw that you can choose how much "effort" it will put into the response. When I selected "high" effort, it gave me back this retarded overly complex implementation, compared to "medium" effort where it has always just given me the shader like I asked. It surprised me that with the "high effort" response I would have needed to spend much more time manually extricating the actually useful code from the slop surrounding it
