>people are spending millions on old cardboard
>people*investment firms, ftfy
another thing biz misses out on
>yes goy buy the cardboard>no goy don't buy worthless silver
i think the term is actually cardstock
>>62772086Who the fuck would spend millions on a Typhlosion? Gen 1 is literally the only ones that matter
>>62772245Based
Missed a Gem Mint 10 Base Japanese Charizard Holo for like $700, i was buying stupid shit like Wildcats. They are now trying to sell it for $100,000 Did get some base set Pokemon Japanese i managed to 2x or 3x though thank fuck. It took some time to move but that's all gone now I'm finally almost out thank fuck.I don't really have grounds to complain since i ultimately made money but if I'd just held on a little while longer i could've made much more significant profit
-The stupid shit in question i was buying insteadAlmost every morning there was knocking at my door, i would run from the other end of the house eyes half shut opening the door to bright sunlight still putting on my shirt half naked infront of many different posties to sign for some really dumb trading card shit that WASN'T pokemon. Really should have been focusing my purchase power on them but Japanese going up alongside english was just a theory at that point.
>>62772245cause typhlosion is cool as fuck
>>62772086>he didnt listen to the poketard spamming biz for 2 years
>>62772086Harry Potter and Pokemon investing are the future, you cannot tell me otherwise, go eat your veggies. I will retire on my HP / Pokeman assets and buy a mclaren f1 with gains stank you smelly much
>>62772086>people are spending trillions on old sand
people also wear them next to their big titty waifus
>>62772086I rank those over the people that buys internet imaginary money. At least cardboard is real.
>>62773213It's insane how being hot isn't even enough anymore. You have to NICHEMAXX and hope some mentally ill gamer/cosplay golddigger wants to date you for clout points...
>>62772086I had that Charizard lol
>>62773254>I ranknobody cares what you rank tho, jewyour cult is going extinct
>>62772179Have you ever tried to sew lots of silver into your suit? Cardboard is easier.
>>62773153harry potter will be cucked once the new tv show flops
>>62772245Nah gen 3 is also huge, and gen 4 is also gaining traction>Gen 3 reverse holos going for 1K minimum at PSA 9+>Even a fucking Ludicolo went for 10K in the last 24 hours>Gen 4 Lv.X cards also fetching 2K+ just by being PSA 8This is the gold rush phase, at this point I might just sell my binder and make a quick $100K on cardboard. You literally just had to collect some semi-decent cards in the iPod Touch era (not even the Nokia era) and you'd be all the richer today
>>62772115Yes big investment firms are buying graded Pokemon cards
I am literally a mini Rudy and making bank it’s really just as easy as getting a few cases and waiting a decade.
>hyper inflation and great depression 3.0 arrives>"all right, now I can sell my overpriced cardboard to survive">no one buys it>dies
>>62774235HYPER INFLATIONJUST LIKE THEY TAUGHT ME IN SCHOOLNAZISM IS RISINGTHE JEWS THEY'RE TRANSINGTHE HECKING KIDS
>>62772086> market manipulators are trying to make it look like people are selling cardboard for millionsftfy
>>62772086How is Typhlosion that expensive?I've got a Lugia from the same set, does that make me a millionnaire?
>>62774344What? People just mysteriously and suddenly want to pay $2 million for cards that were $600 one year ago. What's the big deal?
>>62774378>mysteriously"Investing" in TCG cardboards is getting more and more popular, that's why the prices skyrocketed. They're all in for the same reason: investing, no one really loves those games and the players are getting raped.
>>62774384It's difficult for me to believe that people are buying these cards at these prices because they think they're going to proceed to 5x from their buy price>$2 million? Way too cheap brudda, this is a $10 million card at least! Everyone loves Garchomp
>>62774389I believe it, there were many faggots buying BTC at 120k a year ago
They can be destroyed in a flood at any time.
>>62772086My mother gave away my insanely valuable baseball card collection to my half brothers bastard child. Thanks mom! You've always been so good to me. I don't even know how to express my gratitude for all the love and kindness you've shown me over the years. Just like every women Ivr been blessed with in my life. It's all be so wonderful. I'm so lucky.
>>62774378Not mysterious, its unironically GameStop buying up inventory to pivoting into TCGs along with several other minor players who are starting to recognize the longevity of these things and finding the almost complete lack of normal financial regulations.
>>62774486My mom gave away all me and my brother 1st Edition pokemon cards that we had actually cracked fresh and kept in a proper binder so they wouldn't get damaged.
>>62774467FUD
>>62774486>>62774562This story is so common, probably over 50% of people have a story like this. No offense, but you don't need to keep whining about it.The same thing happened to me and I decided to re-acquire my collection in 2019 using bigboy adult cash that I earned. If you look at the situation from a different perspective - "moms" are a token burning mechanism creates more attrition and drives prices higher. You think moms are bad but moms are actually very good for my ecosystem.
can't wait for my 10 year old cum bottles to moon
>>62772086This is a bubble. sell while you can.
>>62774658you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between: #1 A bubble.#2 Investment-grade capital entering the market (new asset class taken seriously, leads to a price discovery phase).
>>62774562Remind her of this when you put her in the cheapest retirement home
>>62775178She already knows I hate her for fucking up my bitcoin position back in 2012.
>>62774691>#2 Investment-grade capital entering the market (new asset class taken seriously, leads to a price discovery phase). This sounds like something that would get thrown around a lot around the peak of a collectibles bubble>NEW PARADIGM!!!
