Someone explain to me how the S&P500 is still so high.

Something's got to give.
It's only gone up cause of the AI meme.
France is dragging the whole EU down.
US keeps stepping on everyone's toes, putting more pressure on the Western Axis.
Gas and food prices have never been higher.

It's not sustainable!
>>
Inflation

Do you have the balls to bet against the global western hegemony? Because I dont have the balls to do that so I will continue buying the index

Every single trick to prop up the economy
Every single trick to bail it out when needed

>Someone explain to me how the S&P500 is still so high
Why shouldn't it be? History shows that the market goes up and down but mostly up until for no particular reason whatsoever it starts going up and down but mostly down for no particular reason whatsoever, until it starts going up and down but mostly up again for no particular reason whatsoever.
Sorry this comes as a surprise to you, but you should know these things before dicking around in the market.
>France is dragging the whole EU down
And has been since 1958. This isn't new.
>US keeps stepping on everyone's toes
And has since 1945. This isn't new
>Gas and food prices have never been higher
How old are you that you do not know about inflation?
>It's not sustainable
Oh le no. Eventually it will come down. Someday. Then it will start going back up and people will again proclaim How Is This Possible It's Not Sustainable, and eventually, after week or years or even decades the market will drop again and they will be proven right. See "Clock, Stopped, Frequency of Correctness".

It sounds like you are neither emotionally nor intellectually mature enough to deal with the vagarity of the stock market.

Most of companies in sp500 have pricing power while they didn’t use the power before Covid

The larger problem is that its going up relative to nothing. As long as inflation is less than actual productive output, its fine, as wages can steadily go up to match. The issue is that they aren't, production isn't going up, actual usable assets aren't being made, useful services are not being provided, which means the average wage earner is not producing more, which means they can't be paid more, which means an ever increasing proportion of their paycheck goes to bare necessities. It is not an unreasonable thing to say that the average person's quality of life is going down.

>its going up relative to nothing
How do you know? Seriously. Just because the reason it's going up it isn't obvious to you doesn't mean that there's no reason it's going up, it just means you haven't figured it out yet and aren't willing to accept your lack of omniscience.

X3000 of the most powerful companies in the world. Literally too big to fail
>>
>>62773187
>How do you know?
Because the market value of actual productive industries are going DOWN.
>>
The ai meme is real. This is not some marginal improvement to phone thickness
>>
>>62773240
1 trillion ai debt at 10% interest, 100 billion a year in interest payments alone. Nobody is free cash flow positive. Paying off interest payments with more debt... ponzi starting to kick in, ai corporate bond yields approach junk rating. You could be right that LLM's will guve everyone free blowjobs and still this whole sector is going to collapse because of the debt.
>>
>>62773234
Nice little fantasy you've got there. It's very autistic of you to think that everybody else agrees with your definition of "actual productive" but hey this is 4chan, autistics-r-us.
>>
>>62773308
Producing the necessities for human life and producing goods and services which improve quality of life are productive. Passing the same trillion dollars back and forth between a half dozen companies to make imaginary numbers go up on a spreadsheet is not. There is no way for you to paint it as anything but with anything short of utter delusion.

For what reason!?

you spanked your monkey to that? wtf anon

They made themselves too big to fail on purpose. If you're expecting 08 but companies are allowed to fail you'd be wrong. It will end in stimulus and bailouts.
