>At what age
no.

I am a neet. With what I make with crypto plus the inheritance I'll get, I'm set for life. I just got back from Japan. Lived there 2 years with the student visa. Best time of my life.
>>

Id tell you to go back home Mohammed but you already did. Good. Never go back.

What's up with that hostility, skipper? I'm a proud white man. A true man of the west from the old world.

Very interesting your reaction, btw. I have my theories about why you have reacted that way but I wanna see them confirmed. Are you from the US?
>>

Forgot to say. I will go back to Japan next year. With the working holiday visa. 2 years were not enough. I want to relax at home in february. Le primtemps is awesome in Japan, all the picnics with the sakura trees, the girls...

I'm sorry if you feel bad, skipper. But it is what it is :)

If you love Japan and have the money to retire, you can set up a company with yourself as the only employee in a role which qualifies you for the Japanese digital nomad visa and which allows you to stay for 6 months at a time.

Then spend september-march in Japan when the weather is perfect, and fuck off back home for 6 months when it gets way too hot and humid in Japan. Repeat forever

Where did you get this picture of me?

Either 45 into van life or 55 into a small humble home, or 65 otherwise.
Depends how it all plays out.
>>
>>62773979
My current plan is 55 or sooner. I am 40 now with about 115,000 in my TSP, brokerage, and IRA. I have a rental property that I owe about 30gs on. I will get a state pension at 60 and a federal pension around 56. If I play it cards right i think I’ll make it.

Whenever that liquid NW hurts 2 mil. I already have a paid off house so calculating expenses is EZ
>>
>>62773979
unless you find a way to cash out about 5 million in your old age you and i will never have the financial means to "retire". those days are over.
>>
>>62774354
This could be a demoralization bot but honestly I think kids these days are actually this retarded. How much money do you think it requires to generate unlimited money? I want to hear your guess.

unlimited? the 5 million? whatever amount you'd need a month to not work?

retire? what is that some boomer meme?
>>
>>62776178
Yeah it takes effort so it's only for boomers
>>
>>62773979
Could've happened in 2025 but what I thought was playing it safe was just not the right call. It seems the assets I have are enough especially with the actual developments they're making, but even if that's true I don't know WHEN they'll go that high. So maybe I'll retire at 32 maybe some time after. /biz/ was a big part of all this for pointing out certain things and telling me to always do my own research.
>>
>>62773979
10 years ago or never. looking like never
>>
>>62776179
>just work hard
effort but no thinking, perfect for boomers

Social media constantly exposing peasants to wealthy peoples lifestyles has distorted their understanding of money.

Even at $2M in an index fund you can comfortably withdraw $60-70k/year (inflation adjusted) for the rest of your life and live the same lifestyle as an average wagie. But that's not enough for the peasants. No, retirement to them means living in a beach front mansion and buying a new mercedes every other year

You seem quite upset about my reaction. Perhaps you did an Epic Reddit Moment basedface, and felt personally attacked by my response?

I'm taking my 5k of Donald bucs and investing in dogs. I'll be a poodle baron in 15 years. Rich people are crazy about poodles. Nah, I'm inhaling every last buck.
