If they are cashflowing, wait for a better moment.

If they aren't cashflowing, do what they need to to get cashflow neutral, and then wait for a better moment.

If they cannot get cashflow neutral, down round and employees and early round investors get punched in the face by dilution.

The VC exit window being open on good terms or not is cyclical, always has been.
